* "Unable to verify referring url. Please go back and try again" Problem Logging In?

If you get an "Unable to verify referring url. Please go back and try again" error when you try to log in, you need to be sure you are accessing the board with a url that starts with "https://ecauldron.com".  If it starts with https://www.ecauldron.com" (or "http://www.ecauldron.com") you will get this error because "www.ecauldron.com" is not technically the same website as "ecauldron.com". Moving to the more secure "https" means it is more picky about such things.

Injured pet
« on: July 14, 2014, 03:08:29 am »
I just came home from the emergency vet/surgery.

Our frilled dragon Hedwig broke his leg earlier today. They're arboreal (tree) lizards, and it looks like he fell and caught it between forked branches. He had to have it amputated. He is hardy, as less-domestic animals tend to be, and I know he can live without his foot, but there's the possibility of an infection developing, and most of all, I am really scared that being kept in a smaller, sterile environment as he heals from surgery he may stop eating. Frilled dragons are already fragile, prone to stress, and can be picky eaters, so it is a real possibility.

Alongside this, we are not financially well-off. We always have some money set aside for the vet and can pay, but it puts us in a tight place.

Any thoughts, candles, prayers for Hedwig and I for the whole situation- fast healing, appetite, energy to live, infectionless, etc- would be very appreciated and helping.

Here are some pictures of Hedwig (from before; they are not gory)

Thank you both. I don't want to do a real update until he's farther along healing and I'm more set in knowing he's okay, but he is doing fine so far, eating and not getting infected. The only bad part is that he's sulking (which while true in the human sense too is a reptile word, it means he's laying down and looking bored/sad/tired).

Any help is still appreciated, he's gotten over the first couple 'he will survive the night, right?'s but it will be a while before he's actually better.

So, it's been just under three weeks, and I'm tentatively saying it'll be okay. I'm still worried about infection and every time he has some built up shed and damp or anything I'm like 'ahh pus he's dying,' but he's doing great. It's clearly healing over and he has been eating, drinking, defecating, and basking.

New photos from today (also not gory)

Glad to hear he's doing better!  You and Hedwig are in my thoughts tonight. :)
