Requesting prayers
« on: May 12, 2018, 04:11:57 am »
Dear Cauldron,

My mother was recently in a serious automobile accident. She is in better condition than she probably should be, given the severity of the accident. She is going to need physical therapy and is currently in quite a lot of pain, but she will recover. I'm still not sure how; she was run off the road at 55 MPH and collided with a telephone pole, and then her vehicle flipped several times before coming to a stop 80 feet from where she hit the pole.

This whole thing has totally disrupted everyone's lives at home. Work schedules, sleep schedules, everything. We had to miss a concert that we had planned to attend, and had to cut the tickets as a financial loss. My parents are currently fighting the insurance company to get a new car, as the old one was completely totaled.

Any prayers that you can send us would be greatly appreciated. The sooner our lives can return to normal, the better. I am very, very thankful that my mother is alive and not seriously injured, but I am worried about the long term financial and emotional effects of this accident.

Endowed with that faith, a votary performs the worship of that particular deity and obtains the fruits thereof, these being granted by Me alone." - Sri Krishna

If you'd feel comfortable PMing me your mother's name I can see if I can get a Mass said for her/add her to my own daily prayers/get her on the list for when healing prayers are said at my synagogue. Comprehensive spiritual deployment :p

I'm feeling called to do some form of not clearly defined ritual soon, I will be keeping your family in my thoughts along with others.

I'm late in seeing this, but will light a candle for her continued recovery.
