More violence at work. I need out.

Today I had a customer come in with a phone for a carrier we don't work with.  I couldn't fix her issue, and she started screaming, demanding that I download her contacts onto a flash drive, which can't be done on a smartphone if the touch screen doesn't work. She kept demanding that I do it, and the more I said it was impossible, the louder she got. So finally I politely asked her to leave. She kept screaming at me and wouldn't budge. Asked her again. She demanded the manager on duty. I'm it. She ordered me to get the store manager on the phone. He was in a manager meeting in another town, so I explained to her that he wasn't available and asked her again to leave. When her tirade continued, I called the police. She decided she needed to speak to the dispatcher and tried to take the phone from me. She ended up chasing me into the stockroom, swinging and screaming at me, and when I closed the door behind her, she was still trying to come after me. She finally left, but I've been pretty shaken by it. I need out of this job. I've sent out applications and resumes right and left, but nothing is sticking. If anyone can throw extra prayers/energy/spellwork/whatever behind my job search, I need it. Thank you.

Oh my! I can't believe people get that crazy over a phone. Yes I am 23 and I have to have some sort of phone that will let me text but I don't care if the phone is 20 years old as long as it let me text and I would never take it out on a person that simply says it's impossible! I'm sorry you're having such a bad time!! Energy is coming your way!!!

It never ceases to amaze me how so many people think you can fix something just because they say so!

 
One of the happiest and best decisions I have ever made was to quit working in sales and go into a "crap job". One of those jobs they tell you that you never want to work in, when your in high school. I took a minor cut in pay but my "crappy" factory job was a blessing from the gods in the sense of way lower stress, no ridiculous work uniforms, I don't get bothered by customers. I just make my parts, take pride (however small) in my work, punch the clock and go home in a good mood. I pray that for you stephy. You will find a job where you are happy, be positive and dont give up!!!

So, I meditated on this for a little while and images of pet stores kept coming up in my mind. Is that a job you'd like to have (or something dealing with animals)? I just had a strong feeling about it. Maybe there is one hiring near you?

This, man.  I'm currently in the process of making the same transition, and yeah.  I thought I wanted to be a barista or something and not have to go back to my old "crappy" job.  Hahahaha no.
