Energy request for my father-in-law
« on: October 13, 2019, 05:04:58 pm »
My father-in-law had a TIA today (mini-stroke), and having one of these increases the likelihood of having more/a stroke. He hasn't been taking too great care of himself since we lost my mother-in-law just over two years ago. So all positive energy and general well wishes for him would be most welcome.

Thinking of you both, wishing him a strong recovery and improving health ( emotionally too ) and you the strength to get through the worry.
Is he finding it hard to reach out to other people as well? My mother slowly closed off after my father in laws death and I think the one thing that helped was trying to connect to others ( a hard fight ).

I will certainly pray for him. I can empathize; my mother had a TIA about four years ago. She has since recovered well; in her case the most effective therapy was playing piano and especially the works of her favorite arranger. So while I don't know if your father's case is parallel, taking up and continuing with a familiar hobby may help. All the best.

He does indeed have a moderate to significant case of stiff upper lip, yes, so energy and prayers for us (my husband and I) to do most of the reaching out would also be welcomed.  Thank you.

We'll certainly suggest it.  Thank you.
