Embattled transgender lawmaker resigns after all

Embattled Representative-elect Stacie Laughton submitted her letter of resignation to the Secretary of State's Office this afternoon.

The letter reads "I regret to inform you that I am unable to fill the State Representative seat for Hillsborough County District 31 to which I was recently elected."

I can't help but wonder if the fraud occurred because of her transition? At any rate, it's disappointing news. It must have been an awfully hard decision for her.

I'm pretty sure in this case, Follower was trying to commiserate with Laughton.  Albeit clumsily.
