New Blog Post: Myth as Magical Play

So if myth is not to be taken literally, then how is it to be taken? As a form of magical play, a dance of ideas, a constantly shifting flow of power that can put us in direct contact with the energy of creation itself.

I think myths have behind the story, a lot of deep teachings (well, at least a lot have them). Through myth the teachings are passed down over generations.
Thinking of them literally would loss the meaning behind the myth. Also, myths can direct us to contact with the gods, even when the myth is not historical.

I reference that quote in another blog post, as "myth is that which never was, but always is."
