Ingredients

1 12-ounce can SPAM® Hot and Spicy, cut lengthwise into 8 slices
4.5 oz White steamed rice, cooked ahead of time
4 sheets Japanese Nori, cut in half
1 oz Olive oil
2 Tbsp Garlic, minced
2 Tbsp Chili paste, Sambal
¼ cup mirin
1 oz water
½ Tbsp honey
Black pepper to taste, fine grind

Directions

1. Heat medium size sauté pan with light oil, cook SPAM® Hot & Spicy on both sides for 2-3 minutes.

2. Remove SPAM® Hot & Spicy from pan. Add garlic and chili paste and cook for 1 minute or until garlic is cooked through. Add water, mirin and honey and simmer for 3-4 minutes. Add SPAM® Hot & Spicy to pan and cook until sauce starts to stick to SPAM® mixture.

3. Season with black pepper before finishing. Then place on rice and wrap with Nori. Serve warm.
