Animal Documentary Recommendation
« on: July 05, 2011, 10:34:35 pm »
Guys,

If you are in the mood for an incredible animal documentary, I can't recommend National Geographic's "Dogtown USA" highly enough.

Randall and I are just on the first DVD (there are multiple disks since the show spanned three seasons), and it is about Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Utah. This sanctuary sits on 33,000 (yes, that number is right) acres and is the only sanctuary like this in the world.

It is the most amazing thing I've ever seen. If you've ever been involved with animal shelters or rescue, you need to watch this. It is just incredible.

I second this. This place is amazing. I'd love to know how they manage the funding to do what they do.
