2019 Donation Drive

It's time for our annual Server Donation Drive! We need to raise at least $650 (same as last year) to keep The Cauldron's server online for another year. Please help! Either hit that Paypal button to the right and make a one-time donation in any amount or set up a monthly Bronze, Silver or Gold Donor subscription. You can find more info in this message!

Donations as of 16 Sept 2019: $660 donated. $10 more our minimum goal! Let's beat last year's total of $99 more than the minimum!

Note: This total is updated manually, usually once a day

* "Unable to verify referring url. Please go back and try again" Problem Logging In?

If you get an "Unable to verify referring url. Please go back and try again" error when you try to log in, you need to be sure you are accessing the board with a url that starts with "https://ecauldron.com".  If it starts with https://www.ecauldron.com" (or "http://www.ecauldron.com") you will get this error because "www.ecauldron.com" is not technically the same website as "ecauldron.com". Moving to the more secure "https" means it is more picky about such things.

Okay, I'm just going to ask this question that has been dying to come out. Has anyone here got a ghost experience they would like to share? I've had an experience or two myself, and have gone through the I'm nuts/ maybe I'm not nuts/ I'm accepting my insanity now ordeal. I also love hearing these stories! So please, share!

Okay, I will try my best not to ramble so here goes:

When I was growing up in Australia we lived in a haunted house. I was terrorized every night when I went to bed. See, I slept in a bunk bed with a wire frame with wire springs. At first I slept in the lower bunk and every night I would feel something poking me from underneath the bed. My sister's bed, located in a room that you could get to only getting to through mine, would make sounds as though someone were jumping on it and no one was in in there! This would go one every single night!

One night I woke up and there was a girl standing in the doorway looking at me. It freaked me out so badly! I still can see her I remember her so vividly!

For some reason I switched to the top bunk one night and whatever it was got so pissed it threw me out of the bed and I landed with my shins under a table. They were all scraped up! No one believed me of course ,BUT they would refer to the doors opening and closing by themselves and the presence of someone sitting next to you on the couch, but no one was there as Aunt Agatha and Jonathan. That really confused me!!

My father was a musician and he had a music room in the house and it was so dark. I would never go in the room on my own, even in the daytime, because you could just feel that there was something not so nice in there!

On the lighter side, in my family's recent house, I was taking a shower and I saw this shadow come out past the wall near the door and then it hurriedly went back the way it came . I swear I could feel it say "My bad. Didn't know you were in here showering." An apology from a spirit! Awesome! I actually laughed out loud!

Didn't mean to go on for so long...
"If it ain\'t fun, it ain\'t worth doing!"

I had a very unique experience one time. I was visiting some family and had gotten up to go to the b bathroom, i laid back down in  the bed and before I knew something or someone had pull the covers back over me. At first I thought it was one of my family, but when I looked around there was no one there. I felt a little scare, but in the end any ghost that tucks you into bed, probably isn't going to harm you.

I have one, it isnt scary or anything. Okay so I made a spirit board not to long ago. My friend was coming over because her and I hangout only once in awhile. Anywho, she wanted to see my room where I do all of my spiritual things. So I took her there and it was about 9:00pm and dark. She turned on my spider light, and we chatted about family and friends then the light flickerd. And I said to her, that was just the light bulb". so then we talked and the bulb goes out. She starts to panic and goes "what the heck adam, I need a smoke" so then, she went for a smoke on the front pourch flipping out. I explained to her "Dont worry, it was probally just the light bulb. We forgot to turn the switch so it would be on if it got a new bulb. Then we went into the room again and turned on another light. Then 15 minutes later the spider lamp turned back on and she flipped. She felt the sudden need to do something. I suggested "maybe its something paranormal? I do think its the bulb but maybe its paranormal, you never know." She agreed. In my years of knowing her, she does not like using spirit boards. It gives her the creeps and I respected that but she had a gut feeling that she wanted to. So I wiped out the board, and suspended the pendulum from it. My hand was still as can be, and I made it so I couldnt see the board. I did this because then she could read the letters and if she knew I couldnt see the letters then I wasnt moving it. There is no way I could have spelt things out if I could not see it on the board. So she was the reader and I was the person holding the pendulum. It started spelling out the name. It was a name that she knew of. She knew the person, I totally forgot about them so I couldnt of done that. Plus I wouldnt move it and spell his name because that would be rude. She knew I wouldnt spell that out because it would mean of me. I was in shock. it spelt out something on the board. He said something to her he said on earth that I didnt know of. I started freaking out and so did she, because I couldnt see the board, there was no way I could have spelt it out, and I forgot about that person she knew. We put the board away and lived our normal nights. Thats my story, nothing special, but it made me thinkt that night, we are not alone.

Alright, so. I have a few, I'll try not to ramble.

I was born in a haunted house. My parents and older brother all have stories of presences, of the feeling of someone sitting on the edge of the bed, and of feeling like they were being chased up the stairs. Of course, we moved away when I was two, so I don' actually have any memories of it.

However, more recently, I had some rather traumatic experiences in my parent's home. From the time we moved in (about 13 years ago now), I always disliked the house, with some rooms and areas being worse than the rest. The main offender was my parent's bedroom closet, as well as the back corner of our laundry room, our basement storage room, and the small cement area around the edge of the house, where we kept the garbage cans. I always tried to pass it off, assuming myself to be afraid of the dark, a silly little girl with silly little fears. But I had dreams that I couldn't shake, that terrified me.

The two that spring to mind: I'm standing in my bedroom. Down the hall, in my parent's bedroom, their closet door is open and a red light is coming from it. Their closet has the attic access, and I can tell that that panel has been opened. I hear someone calling to me, telling me to come, that my brother is there and he wants to show me something. As I walk towards the light I hear my brother screaming.

The other: I'm in my bathroom, which sits right at the top of the stairs. I've always had the feeling that there was someone standing at the bottom, always looking up. I'm brushing my teeth, when I look over. There's a faceless figure of a man standing there. He starts walking up the stairs. I try to slam the door but can't, I fall and I can't stand up, while the man comes closer and closer.

Everything came to a head two years ago now, over the summer. The air around me was downright oppressive--I felt watched, stalked, as though my privacy was being violated. I had the distinct feeling that not one, but two entities were watching me as I slept. I had the image of a tall woman, standing right at the foot of my bed, who, when I would roll on my side and cover my head would come around and bend at the waist so she could look straight into my face. I didn't like to have my back to doors, I didn't like to have windows open with the curtains up, and I did NOT like to be alone. My brother took me out of the house, finally, letting me sleep on the floor of his apartment. Then we went to my cousin's wife.

My cousin's wife is a witch, she was raised in Catholicism and voodoo, and she is one of the single most perceptive people I have ever met. My brother and I went to her house, she took one look at me and said "Oh, honey, there's something hanging on to you."

To make a long story much shorter, my cousin and his wife, my brother's then girlfriend (a Wiccan), and our good friend Tara all came to the house and performed, essentially, an exorcism. Due to one thing and another, not everything could be cleared out, and there are still things dogging me whenever I come for a visit. It's easier to live in the house, now, though.

The house was packed with ghost, as my cousin put it. Not all malevolent. Even the woman standing over me wasn't exactly evil, just angry and lost. There were things in our laundry room and things in the basement storage room, and things in my parent's bedroom that refused to be dislodged.

I live away from home now, mostly, in a dorm at college. I haven't really had any experiences there, other than one physical manifestation--I looked over my shoulder and saw a young man, in a white shirt and jeans, standing behind me as I did my hair at the sink. Other than that one thing, though, nothing has bothered me since.

Wow, sorry for the wall of text! :o

It was definitely blue, with lots of buttons. He was tall, light skinned, and wearing a hat. I saw him out the corner of my eye when I was sitting in this exact spot (in the dining room, just off the side of the kitchen, if it's of any importance.) and he disappeared. However, the entire week beforehand, my fiancee kept getting freaked out and jumpy. He always said he saw tall shadows walking up and down the hall. And one night, we were outside, and he saw a shadow figure walk across our room, where the light was on. I hadn't experienced anything, though, so I thought it was maybe stress. But after I saw the man, I did my research and I was very shocked. I really do think it was a German. I haven't experienced anything since, though.

Did the hat he was wearing a helmet? If it was did it have a spike on top? Because if it did then most likely it was a German soldier.
