Dream I Had
« on: January 21, 2019, 06:02:45 pm »
A few weeks ago i had a dream where i was lying on a board on the floor and i couldn't move anything but my eyes. I saw a face of a man with red and black on his face and i could only see his face because there was a flame reflecting on his face from behind me. He was like dancing over me and it was in a dark cold concrete room. It was very real like i was super sore the day before from moving furniture and after i woke up from the dream i was pain free.

There are lots of things this could be. My usual thing with dreams is that they're a data point, not an answer most of the time. You need more information to make sense of them.

In particular, sleep paralysis (in some places it's known as a night hag) is a thing that happens, can feel really weird or scary when we wake up in it, but is actually a pretty normal physical thing. (That kind of thing can also be a fairly normal reaction to a lot of exertion or an unusual schedule or other things going on in your life.) Nothing supernatural in it at all!

For analysing the dream, you might want to look at what that feels like to you (we can't answer that for you), if it reflects anything you were doing around the time of the dream (a day or two before: reading, watching, listening to, playing games involving, etc.)

And then what you feel about what happened - did it feel like something you'd interacted with before? That connects to stories or myths you know? Does it have similarities with other dreams you've had in the past, or ritual or magical or meditation experiences? And so on.
