If you get an "Unable to verify referring url. Please go back and try again" error when you try to log in, you need to be sure you are accessing the board with a url that starts with "https://ecauldron.com".  If it starts with https://www.ecauldron.com" (or "http://www.ecauldron.com") you will get this error because "www.ecauldron.com" is not technically the same website as "ecauldron.com". Moving to the more secure "https" means it is more picky about such things.

Butterflies and Hawks. There everywhere!
« on: April 16, 2013, 10:12:55 am »
So, lately, I've been noticing hawks. Everywhere. And if not hawks, then butterflies. Now, I'm kind of used to the Hawks, my Guardian will often take that form, or the form of some type of cat. I identify very well with these creatures, and my friends will often refer to me as the group kitten. But what about the butterflies? Do they have a special meaning? Is there a God or goddess that identifies with them?
Your love is my drug and I\'m glad to get high
I never want to come down, I don\'t want to be cured
You light me up like a fire, and I burn ever sweetly

My first thought would be that it's spring, to be honest.

The only butterfly-related goddess I can think of offhand is Itzpapalotl, but I'm sure there are others.

Do you have something going on in your life that makes you think you're being reached out to or sent a message?

Lol, yes it's Spring, but I don't usually start seeing them until late May. That's why it's kinda strange to me. I've been trying to find my way with my faith for the past year. And I have actually had some direct contact with my Guardian and a goddess who I believe to be Bast in the past few months. My Guardian very directly told me that my chronic headaches would go away if I would figure out what to do with myself spiritually.

I feel like I'm still missing something though. Like someone is trying to talk to me through a heavy door and it's muffled.

Butterflies are also known as "Freyja's hens" and she is also associated with both cats and birds of prey (although, she is associated with falcons, not hawks).

Well, I assume that they're hawks. Usually they are pretty high up, so it's difficult to see discerning characteristics. So they may be falcons that I'm seeing. I did have one land close while I was waiting for a bus. That one was definitely a falcon though

IMO, winged animals are messengers (I was seeing owls everywhere for a time).  Hawks and falcons have keen eyesight, so perhaps you are being sent the ability to see situations clearly and in focus.  Butterflies may be bringing beauty into your life.

I didn't think about that. That's an interesting perspective, thank you!

I have never heard that before. Its kinda cool.
Really?  So, hey, want to go fishing?  I\'ve got a telescope, and it\'s going to be a dark night, so we should see the fish really well.
...what, I\'m not talking about fishing?  That\'s stargazing?  It\'s all doing-stuff, so it\'s the same thing, right?
