Hello, I'm looking for friends in North Wales and online friends from anywhere!

Hi there.

My name is Carissa. I will be graduating from university in June and moving back home to live with my mother in July to my great relief. Although it may damage my current relationship I cannot abide the city any longer. I am desperate to move back to my home in the countryside in North Wales. I was born and raised there, living my whole life in the same home until university.

I am looking for friends in north wales, particularly friends who known about neodruidry.
I used to think this whole pagan fad was well just that a fad I guess I still do but I found since moving to the city a deep sorrow and longing for nature. My love of the land is far beyond a mere aesthetic appreciation others who live there feel, it is deeply emotional and spiritual. The magnificent view from my mother's home, the forests, waterfalls and mountains give me such peace and inspirations its the only place that can truly be my home. through this longing a shy curiousity of neodruidry has risen. After all I am from Wales and I have a deep attachment to the land and apparantly that is what neodruidism is all about and original druids in britain were welsh.

Apart from this i can find out little else. I cannot find any druid groups who meet in north Wales or anyway to contact the few I do find, no one to teach me about this system of beliefs so I am not ignorant and although i love wales with all my heart and my mothers and pets are my world i was lonely there before i moved despite being a recluse mostly. I want friends and I hope someone here is from northwales or can put me in contact with people or a group from there or anyone willing to teach me about nedruidism in Wales.

There is a book that i JUST finished read, its SOO INTERESTING! The book is called "Which Witch Is Which?: A Concise Guide to Wiccan and Neo-Pagan Paths and Traditions" by Patricia J. Telesco. It gives a look at an assortment of the different no-pagan paths and traditions. There are quite a few druid systems, some even over there where you are! Most of them, have contact information for the people who helped her write each section about their path. You may find some good contact info, and be able to decide which you would like to pursue farther!!! They sell it on Amazon, as well as most large book store chains!! GOOD LUCK!!
