Hopefully this post is in the right spot, I couln't really find any appropriate section. But feel free to move it.

So we are starting our garden here soon, and have a list of different plants and herbs we want to grow. I am so excited to dig in the dirt. I just feel so alive when I am outside.

I was curious, what is one herb you can not live without? Either for cooking, or ritual? And why this Herb?

I'm just looking for some more awesome things to grow.

I am really big on trying to grow Meadowsweet right now. Has anyone else had anyluck or expirience with this?

Thanks for any and all input!

Well, it's rosemary for me, excellent for purifications, I put it in most incenses I make, as well as Sage. I feel something very special for lavender, my mom is from the south of france and lavender has been in my life in eau de toilette's, soaps, massaging oils, in the garden... it's like a piece of home I bring with me everywhere I go.

I live in a tiny apartment and when I had to choose two or three plants to have in my "Magic flowerpot" (about 19 inches in diameter) I chose Lavender, Rosemary, Sage, Verbain (Aloysia triphylla kind) and Citronella (Pelargonium citrosum). I left my witch garden at my parent's house where I had nearly 40 kinds of healing and culinary herbs. In mexico we have great weather for gardening it is a beautiful project to have. I have no expirience with Meadowsweet :(

I live in florida, so it is ALSO perfect gardening weather! I just recently startyed my first witchy garden with mostly medicinal herbs and some culinary. Personally though, sage has become my most go to herb. Its good for protection, cleansing, AND its VERY vesitile as a medicinal herb as well!! ;)
