What, the 'no religion bashing' rule? You're pretty safe in this case; it's quite clear in context that this is a case of 'Cauldronites on a satirical romp'.

(And I'll just stand over here with the heretics, because 'Ythfck' is highly amusing, and because I know just enough about how Welsh pronunciation works to see why 'Yddfwc' is at least twice as funny. )

Ythfck is highly amusing. It's obviously blasphemous, however- don't you know the punishment of laughing at something as serious as a God? You could go to -the land down under!

You might not see a beak because I edited it in photoshop to remove the background a few years ago when I was still new at photoshop...so it's very possible I set the tolerance a little high on the magic eraser there lol. But yeah, it's a crow...at least that's a pic that came up on google when I searched "crow" hehe.  For a lot of years now, Crows and the Morrigan have kind of been my go-to guides. : )

It reads as crow, so success.

Yours also reminds me of the red-tailed hawk we've got around here. They look a lot like the ravens in the sky so it can be hard to tell until they get close or screech. The hawk calls give me the chills. I'd sooo hate to be a small animal running around when they screech like that hehe.

Yes, a red-tail is a buteo (one of those "buzzard" hawks), so that fits...but I think the wings on my avatar may be a little long for most buteos, making it more apt for an Aquila eagle, which is my "go-to" animal.

I was birding in the Caribbean once, and I heard a Great Black Hawk call; it sounded like a ghost wailing in the forest. The hairs on the back of my neck literally stood on end.
The first song sets the wheel in motion / The second is a song of love / The third song tells of Her devotion / The fourth cries joy from the sky above
The fifth song binds our fate to silence / and bids us live each moment well / The sixth unleashes rage and violence / The seventh song has truth to tell
The last song echoes through the ages / to ask its question all night long / And close the circle on these pages / These, the metamythos songs

Aaah, I see. I'd never heard the term buteo before; good to know. :)

*Gasp*! So you've already been taken! There is no hope left for you!

(I love the kangaroos, by the way. Is the picture photoshopped, or was it actually taken?)

I think it's legit? I found it on Google.

It's pretty awesome. Perhaps I should try kangaroo-keeping/herding/whatever one calls it... ;)

That's how it reads to me, as a bird nerd.

When I learned my raptors, I was told the (North America specific) rule of thumb, "When in doubt, it's a red-tail," because they have so many color morphs and they're so common, but I think your call on wing length seems right.
