Regular pentacle versus interwoven pentacle
« on: August 03, 2011, 02:12:08 pm »
Besides the appearance, is there any difference in meaning between the two designs? I personally didn't think so, but I can't find anywhere on the web that says anything about this.

Regular pentacle:

Interwoven pentacle:
Conformity is the death of individualism

Personal opinion? The "regular" pentagram seems more like an anchor. No movement in the design. The "interwoven" pentagram implies movement in the knotted design. I happen to like the interwoven one because I think it's prettier, but that is just preference.

I make ceramic art and am currently taking commissions. Have dream altar ware you\'ve always wanted, or a statue for a deity or spirit that you could never find? PM or email me and I\'ll see what I can do ;)

So apparently no difference in meaning. Ok, thanks.

Besides what it could mean to you personally or your feelings towards it, I don't believe there are any historical differences. Although I prefer the interwoven one, but that could be just because I believe it's more aesthetically pleasing to me.
