"personal manifestation"

Is this such a hard concept to grasp? I make personal manifestation happen when I have the money to make my life what I want. Yeah. Personal manifestation is when I take the time to actually sit, and meditate to help me relax and find answers to murky things hidden from me. This is effecting me, and my life, and guess what? I'm the one causing this. How I react to life around me is a self manifestation.

This sounds like a "Is your cup half full, or half empty?" question, but I get it. The way I understand "Do you create your life or does life happen to you." is all about choices, and decisions we choose to make.

I definitely work with what I'm given, I just tend to have a very stubborn and hard will to bend things the way I want them....
But even that will fails me frequently...otherwise I would be a successfully published author, my father would not have to have a heart transplant my family cant afford and my best friend would listen to me when I tell her her BF is an annoying controlling loudmouthed jerk!

But without that will of mine I honestly believe my mother would not have gone to the job interview that has helped my family so much, and I would not have my current job, my garden would have withered in the heat ect....

LeaLynne,

Please remember to quote when you reply in a thread.  Our rules, which you agreed to when you signed up, require it.  Even if the post you are responding to is the OP, or the post right above yours, please remember to do this.  You can trim the quote itself, or even delete it entirely as I did above (just make sure to have the opening and closing quote code on separate lines).  It is really only the linkback contained in the quote header that we require, but we do require it.

Thank you,
Marilyn, TC Staff
I smile when I\'m angry.  I cheat and I lie
I do what I have to do to get by
But I know what is wrong, and I know what is right
And I die for the truth in my secret life

Just finished a word puzzle with this quote by Thomas Carlyle:  "Every day that is born into the world comes like a burst of music and rings the whole day through, and you make of it a dance, a dirge, or a life march, as you will."

Got me to thinking.  Do you buy into this?  Do you create your life or does life happen to you and then it's your job to figure out how to respond?

Looking back on my life, I'm a HUGE believer in "personal manifestation."  There's not a thing in my life that I have not willed into being, both good and bad.  And as I'm getting older, I'm finding this "personal manifestation" is getting stronger and faster, even in my more mundane thoughts.

I am exactly where I've put myself.

Or so I believe.

Best~

Hmm. I would say YES and NO.

I think that everything that happens in the world happens by agreement, but that agreement happens at such a deep level that it is not worth being concerned over. I believe we all have some sort of spiritual self that oversees everything that happens in our lives, and this spiritual self, whatever you may call it, has the final say on every little thing, and that goes for sickness, tragedy, even death.

Life's ailments can be great teachers for the developing spirit, and while we may look on them as evil, they are always necessary in every person's life.

With that said, magic, to me, then is learning how to co create with this spiritual self, but even then we may still not get what we want, and dealing with that is part of having a mature spirituality.

wait - so if someone punches you, your spiritual self has to agree to get punched?  AND my spiritual self agrees to do the punching?  How does that work????

I'm a strong believer in Fate, so.. no. While there are a lot of what we can influence in our lives, for better or for worse, there are also some things that are supposed to happen, regardless of whether we want that or not; we may just choose how we deal with them. Our will isn't the strongest power in Universe.
