Over time I have come to pantheistic and nondualistic views of Divinity - that each of us is part and parcel of the Divine, similar in quality but not in quantity. I think that the "feminine" principle, which represents the totality of creation, should be emphasized in this period of anger, strife, and division more than the "masculine" principle (although not completely ignored), which is the activating principle. The connection of these two principles leads to the development of individual consciousness. (Some of you may recognize this as coming from Thelema - Nuit, Hadit, and Ra-Hoor-Khuit - although I do not really resonate with the neo-Kemetic 19th century spin.) I also resonate with the teachings of Shaktism, the Goddess tradition from India especially as relates to Durga, and Vedantic philosophy although as a western American male I do not want to engage in cultural appropriation. I do not mind using neo-Wiccan spiritual "technology" (the tools, ritual structure, etc.). I think the main path towards self-realization consists of knowledge or wisdom (jnana yoga), devotion (bhakti yoga), and service to others (karma yoga). Towards this end I incorporate the use of both ceremonial magick as a way of meditative insight and inquiry as well as low or folk magick to make my everyday life better.

Any suggestions?

I guess I should have summarized:

- emphasis more on the Goddess than the God - but open to nondualistic/pantheistic/Vedantic interpretation and to males (as I am one)
- focused on devotion, self-realization and insight, and selfless service to others (not just simply the Rede and the Threefold Law - although those do not necessarily conflict)
- I'm really not focused on a pantheon per se (not closed to one either) nor do I feeled called to worship in traditional Hindu forms (such as arati or puja)
- incorporates ceremonial/high magick and/or mysticism (aka meditation, Hermetic principles, Vedanta/yoga) as well as low magick

I guess I should have summarized

Long posts are fine here, though blank lines every 3-5 lines of text improve readability tremendously!

It's entirely possible no one reading the forum in the last couple of days has or is specifically familiar with this particular blend of things - that's true for lots and lots of people under the Pagan umbrella.

Can you be more specific, though, about what you're looking for? Are you hoping to find other people with similar beliefs?  Are you looking for similar practices? Are you trying to find other people with similar threads in their practice? Develop, improve, or troubleshoot specific practices?

In general, looking for people who share beliefs in the Pagan community is an iffy thing: it's a running joke in a lot of initiatory witchcraft traditions that you can have initiates, standing in a circle cast in that tradition's format, ask them about the nature of deity, or what happens after we die, or where the Gods come from, or dozens of other questions and get at least as many answers to a given question as there are people in the circle (and given most witches, probably a few more than that.)

In other words, figuring out if you want to focus on finding similarity of practice, or similarity of belief is probably going to help you narrow down your next steps.

I think the closest I've seen from named traditions or groups has gone over more heavily on the sacred sexuality side. Often the more ethical/coherent groups like that are moderately private (i.e. most of the details aren't discussed much in public). Some other groups in that realm can get pretty skeevy, and others don't spend much time at all interacting with the Pagan/NeoPagan communities in general. (So somewhere like this forum may not be as helpful.)

Thanks your post is actually helpful. Actually I’m not interested in the sacred sexuality thing, but I did some more footwork and it looks like the McFarland Dianic tradition may be a good match as I am very influenced by the Shakti (Goddess-centric) tradition of Hinduism which worships (Maha-)Devi.

I’m looking for probably a little more philosophical depth whereas most traditions are, as you say, more focused on orthopraxy.
