2019 Donation Drive

It's time for our annual Server Donation Drive! We need to raise at least $650 (same as last year) to keep The Cauldron's server online for another year. Please help! Either hit that Paypal button to the right and make a one-time donation in any amount or set up a monthly Bronze, Silver or Gold Donor subscription. You can find more info in this message!

Donations as of 16 Sept 2019: $660 donated. $10 more our minimum goal! Let's beat last year's total of $99 more than the minimum!

Note: This total is updated manually, usually once a day

* "Unable to verify referring url. Please go back and try again" Problem Logging In?

If you get an "Unable to verify referring url. Please go back and try again" error when you try to log in, you need to be sure you are accessing the board with a url that starts with "https://ecauldron.com".  If it starts with https://www.ecauldron.com" (or "http://www.ecauldron.com") you will get this error because "www.ecauldron.com" is not technically the same website as "ecauldron.com". Moving to the more secure "https" means it is more picky about such things.

Children and the other side
« on: May 08, 2015, 06:52:52 pm »
A few weeks ago, my three year old daughter started talking to someone/something that I can't see. We just moved to a new home/new area, and she started talking about a monster that scares her, and a little boy ghost in her room. She'll point into empty air and say "See Mama? There him is!"

I believe she could very well see something/someone, and I don't want to discourage her "there's nothing there, I don't see anything," but she's so little that I can't get much information out of her about either one. I don't know how to help her relate to something that I can't see.

Does anyone have any ideas?

I liked how Erin Pavlina handled it. She's a professional psychic, but still couldn't see monsters and angels the same way that her daughter sees them, which is fine to focus on the emotional response to it…much like real life when other people have events and experiences that you yourself weren't there to witness, or you yourself were there but have a different perception and predisposition to handle it. If another person takes the event really hard or really lightly, and we don't, we still relate to the person…right? So I suppose we all come to terms with how different our experiences really are going to be.
