Kybalion talk by Mitch Horowitz
« on: January 10, 2018, 07:26:08 pm »
So this is happening in NYC:

The Magic of the Kybalion
A class led by Mitch Horowitz
Wednesday, January 10
8-9:30 PM
$25 at the door
The Alchemist Kitchen
21 East 1st St
NYC

http://themagicofthekybalion.splashthat.com

I'm there right now, waiting for it to start; something of a crapshoot, since I've never read the Kybalion and I don't know the guy leading this. But it's in my neighborhood, and I'm curious, so...

I'll report back afterwards.
The first song sets the wheel in motion / The second is a song of love / The third song tells of Her devotion / The fourth cries joy from the sky above
The fifth song binds our fate to silence / and bids us live each moment well / The sixth unleashes rage and violence / The seventh song has truth to tell
The last song echoes through the ages / to ask its question all night long / And close the circle on these pages / These, the metamythos songs

Mitch Horowitz!!! So jealous, I'd love to see him talk.

He wrote Occult America, which is a really interesting history of spirituality in the United States. It's a good read.

He just mentioned that it will be live-streaming on Evolver social movement on Facebook

Hope it's good. And you really oughtta read The Kybalion. it's short but sweet, basically the 'WMT' in a nutshell.
You have my sword
And my shield
And my... um... slacks.

I nearly picked it up last week, to read before the talk, but I definitely will now. Weekend reading while I'm cooped up indoors.

I definitely found it worthwhile.
