Yes, yes we did! There was singing and tears and joy and relief that it's finally over. It was an amazing moment. <3

It's something of a bittersweet victory though, because like Ireland, we had to go through a public vote ahem, non-compulsory, non-binding postal survey to get there, and that unleashed a lot of unasked-for pain and suffering for our communities. And there was no leadership from our PM on this to bring the country towards marriage equality (which he supports). And we didn't know which Bill we were even voting on until the survey was over. But oh gods am I glad it's done, and now we can move on.
