Birds Are Vanishing From North America

I've been birding for nearly all of the 49 years covered by the research, and this matches my personal experience; I think most birders can attest to this...and yet, it's still shocking and horrifying to see the numbers.
The first song sets the wheel in motion / The second is a song of love / The third song tells of Her devotion / The fourth cries joy from the sky above
The fifth song binds our fate to silence / and bids us live each moment well / The sixth unleashes rage and violence / The seventh song has truth to tell
The last song echoes through the ages / to ask its question all night long / And close the circle on these pages / These, the metamythos songs

Those numbers are scary. Unfortunately, if Trump and the current Republican party have their way, the losses will probably only increase. Birds, like clean water and clean air, are probably less important to current Republicans than better corporate profits to further enrich the one-percenters. Personally I would strongly prefer clean water, clean air, and more birds, but my opinion doesn't matter.

Bugs are no more too.  I saw plenty of all sort of bugs when I was a child, flies,  bees, dragonflies, butterflies, etc. It's probably one main reason there are less birds now.  And less bees definiitively affects agricultures on grand scales world wide.

I saw an item about this yesterday after I got home from the climate strike, and thought of you Altair.
