It's amazing what science comes up with. Now, if only we can find a way to stop new diseases from forming in the first place. (Impossible, I know, but I can dream can't I?)

And if I may stray slightly off topic, I want a glowing kitty!!! They might have trouble catching mice though.

Let me just say that this sounds so absurd it might actually work! I mean, glowing kittens that are immune to FIV? Sounds like something out of a sci-fi novel.

I suspect it's probably a troll, in the event that it isn't...WTF? One has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with the other, and what do they mean by "sexual misconduct" anyways?

She's actually a friend of mine from way back who is Christian. She's so Christian she works for a cult awareness program. Cults are, of course, all religions not hers. Baptists, to her program or what have you, are considered a cult.

Honestly, she's heading back to the 80s when AIDS was the "Gay Disease." I remember the fear that would appear whenever AIDS was mentioned when I was a kid. It made a pretty powerful impact on me: my dad died of it in 1990. I never told anyone what he died of because I didn't want to be typecast as an outcast for having a "gay" father... even though, he wasn't.

This made me laugh, which is a good thing right now.

She and I are debating this whole thing. I'm pretty sure our friendship is terminated. I'm both saddened by this and relieved. It's really hard keeping my religious comments to myself when she likes to put that "holier-than-thou" expression on and go on about how her religion is the only religion.

Ah, right, of course, because we pagans are just hobbyists with our gods. It's like collecting and painting miniatures, of course.

(I've also lost friendships over that attitude. It is both saddening and relieving. I feel you.)
