An (Unorthodox!) Christian's Perspective on MMC
« on: October 13, 2018, 05:37:07 am »
Let me open by acknowledging that the "maiden-mother-crone" paradigm is not a part of my belief system. But as I was thinking about what I've come to understand about the feminine personalities whom I believe are involved with my spiritual life, I was struck by how they dovetail with that paradigm. I thought I would bring those ideas up here and ask whether those of you who do make that paradigm part of your belief system would agree and see what light you might be able to shed from your perspective.

First, when I think of MMC from a human perspective, it inevitably dovetails with our experience of the maturation and aging of the human body. A maiden is fresh-faced and innocent; a mother is mature and matronly; a crone is wizened and weighed down by years. That's part and parcel of the mortal experience. But, how might that be affected by immortality and eternity?

Jesus mentioned that resurrected humans were "...not given in marriage, but are as the angels in heaven." Orthodox Christian Theology holds that to mean that angels are sexless beings incapable of relating to the transient joys of human matrimony and that, as a corollary, the population of heaven is/will be eternally static. Personally, I think that this theology has the actual angels convulsed with laughter, and I felt that way even before I began to suspect that a goddess had the hots for me. What I suspect that Jesus was very obliquely saying is that, in heaven, no one has a legal claim upon the affections of anyone else. He wasn't saying that there are no relationships, no intimacy, and especially that the God who "sets the solitary in families" would deny that sense of belonging to his own angels and best friends. But the legal structures, at least as we know them from upon this earth, are not relevant there...because in a realm of justice and transparency, they are not necessary.

But although the earthly structure of courtship and matrimony may not be relevant to Heaven, there is still the development of the personality. And there are valuable life lessons to be learned at each stage. A maiden needs to be cherished and protected by the men in her life, and not to be pressured to change that status until, of her own free will, she is good and ready. A mother is in an extended process of bonding with and becoming a complement to her spouse, while at the same time nurturing and caring for the children with which she may be blessed. Then, there is the crone....

In human experience, a crone is a lady past the childbearing years who shares the benefit of her wisdom. But what is the place of the crone in a realm where eternal youth and beauty prevails? I thought this through when I first seriously begin to grapple with the question of legally marrying an actual, immortal goddess. The traditional Christian vows are, "forsaking all others, till death do you part." But, at the same time, I had at least a tentative relationship with three other feminine spiritual personalities...The Blonde, The Brunette, and The Redhead. Would I be cutting myself off from EVER pursuing a deeper relationship with them?

Where I ended up was with the conclusion that those vows were meant for a human lifetime. From the question of eternity, I came to the idea that, at some point, my God would consider those vows to have been fulfilled and that from that point the two of us would be free, if we chose, to branch out into other "nodes" of relationship without weakening or endangering the bond forged between us. I've mentioned my own interest in the Girls but I believe that, for her part, Jessica still has feelings for Solomon which she would some day like to revisit.

So that is how I see the Crone from an immortal standpoint; a personality who has the experience and wisdom of a Maiden and a Mother but now has the liberty and the wisdom to make use of that experience. I've felt for a while now that if you were to take some of these ladies who have spent fifty or sixty years of a lifetime learning how to love and to complement a man and then to give them back the body of a twenty-year-old and the liberty to go and have fun with it...then watch out!

Which explains a bit how I see The Blonde...she's hot! When I saw her in the dream when I was about sixteen years old, she was ready (I wasn't, but that's another story). So I see her as operating from the perspective of an immortal and beautiful Crone; experienced, playful, and uninhibited. Jessica, on the other hand, even though "older" than The Blonde (AFAIK), still is operating from the perspective of a Maiden...I believe that she was ready to marry Solomon, but that the marriage was never truly consummated (deception and sexual assault by the enemy was involved) and that she still considers herself "the virgin daughter of Jerusalem." I know that I need to treat her very delicately...not least because her Father is watching!

The Brunette is an unknown quantity; she hasn't opened up in that area as far as I can detect. She may not be interested in any kind of romantic relationship with me at all, although I'm confident that she's willing to be a professional partner and a friend. The Redhead, however, is operating from the perspective of a Mother to the best of my knowledge. I have the sense that she is involved with somebody and that she's not ready to branch out just yet...but, someday.

So where it comes full circle here is when a Crone should again be treated like a maiden. Again, for the present I'm focused upon Jessica; I believe that my God has said that she's the girl who truly is right for me. But at some point I believe that with perfect propriety I'll be able to look outward again...and that The Blonde will be next in line. But I believe that she is a personality deserving of more than just a quick roll in the hay...and that, even though she is willing and experienced, she should be treated gently, and carefully, and compassionately. As a Maiden, in other words. And so the cycle starts all over again.

Anyhow, my question was whether those of you who have integrated the MMC paradigm into your practices and beliefs see this as a valid extension of the concept, even if you may not agree with my underlying precepts and conclusions. Do you have suggestions which could help me improve my understanding of the perspective? Thanks for listening to me ramble.
