Definitely thought you were talking about Legend of the Guardians (the owl movie), which I enjoyed if only because it was gorgeous to watch! However, Rise of the Guardians looked good too, even if the title confuses me.

It's a good kid's movie about the "Guardians" aka Santa Claus, Easter Bunny, Tooth Fairy, and Sand Man.  When Pitch Black (aka the boogie man) starts taking over kids' dreams, the Guardians need the help of Jack Frost.

Putting Radagast into TH might be made up (though I do recall Gandalf describing, in the LotR books either in the story itself or somewhere in the back matter, having spoken to him, in connection with the whole "something's fishy in Mirkwood" deal), but he, and his quite distinct personality, are Tolkien's own creation.

I may just be misunderstanding your phrasing here; if so, my apologies.

Ah yeah, sorry bad phrasing. I meant his physical appearance/aid to the company was Peter's invention.

I just saw Hansel and Gretal Witch Hunters.

I was disappointed, no real plot, or message to the story.

The one point they did raise (more of an after thought), was that there are good witches.

I left thinking someone(s) saw Van Helsing too may times before producing, directing, and/or acting in the movie.

The last time I was actually in a movie theatre was when my oldest and I went to see Eclipse.

I won't comment on the movie because that's just asking for trouble LOL :-p

I'm not really a fan of theatres ~ I'd rather watch stuff at home on DVD.

Me too, on the whole.  The last thing I saw was Macbeth:  http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2884018/?ref_=nv_sr_1 approximately a year ago.

It was good, but the sound quality in the cinema wasn't that great and that combined with the regional accents meant I couldn't follow the dialogue so well.  Of course I know the story but I would've been far more compelled by this rendition of it had I been able to follow it better.

Most of the time we are the same, especially with Netflix, we just wait for it to come out there and watch at home.

But we will go to a theater for some movies, and the last one we saw was Suicide Squad, which I absolutely LOVED...can't wait to  get it on dvd so I can watch it over and over :P

ghostbusters, the new one.  lots of fan service, women in the main roles with the gorgeous male bimbo.  It had issues, is can never be as good as the original, but well worth the money to go see in the theatre, twice, especially for a girls night out.  Chris, mmmmmm

Last movie I saw was Suicide Squad. Good action comedy; I don't really know enough about the comics to compare quality, but I do know Harley Quinn definitely carried the whole movie.
