The Legend of Korra

Surely I can't be the only ATLA fan on this board? Who else can't wait for Sunday to roll around now?

Seriously, I don't think I've ever squee'd so much during a single episode!

"I'M THE AVATAR! YOU GOTTA' DEAL WITH IT!" :D

I love the facial expressions, the scenery, the fact that the avatar this time around is a woman and a POC (although, the previous series was pretty good about not whitewashing everything--disregard the terrible movie, just, let's not talk about the movie). I love how Korra is strong and confident without being annoying. I just, GAH, stop reading this and go watch the first and second episodes if you haven't already! Seriously!

Oh my gosh, I love Korra!! :D and I didn't even bother to see the movie. I know people who did and they were PIIIIIIIIIISSED!!! I heard he completely butchered the poor series and that BS with how firebenders work is truely aggravating. Not to mention the actor who played Sokka had the gall to decide he was gonna interpret the character his way instead of sticking to the actual established personality. It was just a total disaster.

Giant fan here. I don't have my TV hooked up to cable, so I caught the preview episodes a while back. I'll have to play catch-up on youtube or something for the rest of the season, but I'm very excited.

My friend is less convinced about the look of the world than I am, but I keep making the argument that 70 years is the same amount of time that passed between, say, 1850 and 1920. Huge technological difference.

I also really like Korra as a character; very different from Aang (whom I loved as a non-typical protagonist) and very root-able. Er. I can root for her, I mean. :p
Fight evil: read books.

I love Korra, and the original series too!  (Sadly it took til after the first season of Korra was over for me to find this thread...)  I am glad to hear that they will be making more though!
