Anything animated by Disney/Pixar. Especially Beauty and the Beast, Pocahontas, the first Toy Story, Cars and Wall-E.

Also The Nightmare Before Christmas, The Corpse Bride, 9, and Coraline.

Live-action favourites include the Harry Potter series and Nanny McPhee.

a lot of  those are definately faves of mine now,but they weren't out when I was a kid....lol....

I don't know if anyone remembers this movie but The Last Starfighter! I loved that movie as a kid and still do.

I rented it not long after the special DVD release.  It's still hokey fun.
Is hokey fun bad?  Hell no!  It's unapologetic.

LOL - Beauty and the Beast came out before I was born! The first movie I was taken to was Lilo & Stitch. I was too much of a fidget to be trusted to behave through a public screening before that. :D:

My favourites:

The Secret of Nimh
Ferngully
The Little Mermaid (I rented this one a million times and I FINALLY bought it on DVD when it came out in a special edition)
Sleeping Beauty
Beauty and the Beast (I loved the fact that Belle liked to read)

Heck, pretty much every Disney movie I owned was a favourite.

Disney's Little Mermaid was released closer to the Moon Landing than to today.

I dunno if it'll mitigate that feeling, or exacerbate it, or just make you feel like you're not shut out of this thread by it, but....

I remember being really impressed by the Disney animated version of Robin Hood.  Robin and Marian as foxes!  What's not to like?

This one might have already been mentioned (not gonna re-check the whole thread), but I loved The AristoCats when it came out (well, no, a while later; my family was on a tight budget, and there were four of us kids, so we didn't see it until it was at the drive-in theatre), and I loved it even more when it was re-released (sometime in the '90s, I think, though it could have been the late '80s).  Fave scene both times:  the attic jazz jam session.

I have the four-disc Classic Disney Collection: 60 Years of Musical Magic, and the two individually-sold follow-ups. That song is one of the ones I made sure to burn to iTunes. ;)

I'm a Disney kid--what can I say?

Correction: only one follow-up (vol. V 60 Years....) listed on Amazon. Wishful thinking on my part, I guess.
