Just watched the finale on BBC iplayer.

Bloooooooooooooooody Hell.

If there is one thing I like about the Beeb, it's their ability to produce TV where the ending leaves you feeling thirty things at once and not knowing which reaction is the right one.  Seriously, that ending.  Gut wrenching.  Terrifying.  Horrifically sad and triumphant and worrying and unsettling and utterly unsafe.  

People are begging for a second season.  I hope they don't make one.  The ending was too perfect.  It left me begging for more, desperate to know what happens next, but knowing there is no way they could ever depict what comes next and I think that is how TV should leave people, at the end.
