If you get an "Unable to verify referring url. Please go back and try again" error when you try to log in, you need to be sure you are accessing the board with a url that starts with "https://ecauldron.com".  If it starts with https://www.ecauldron.com" (or "http://www.ecauldron.com") you will get this error because "www.ecauldron.com" is not technically the same website as "ecauldron.com". Moving to the more secure "https" means it is more picky about such things.

Is anybody watching this season? If so, what are your thoughts thus far?

I saw the first episode. I got hooked with Murder House on Netflix, but I haven't seen any of Asylum. I don't have cable, so can only intermittently watch the current season... we'll see. Do you know if they stream online? It seems like not. :-/

I have to say I dug the first episode! The "black widow" thing is so bizarre. I also like the spin on the "witch school" thing, I love Jessica Lange in this part (or in anything lol), and the past-present mix seems interesting.

I am! I haven't seen the second episode yet (I think it's airing in a couple of hours in the States?). I think it has a lot of potential and if it lives up to it it's going to be excellent season, if not it's going to be a trainwreck.

You can buy & stream the episodes on Amazon-- $1.99 for SD and $2.99 for HD.  It's not free, but heck, it's cheaper than cable.

So far I love this season; there's so much potential and so many great characters.  Jessica Lange is excellent as before, but it's a real treat to see so much acting talent in one TV show.

Asylum is great, really.  My kind of twisted.  :D:

I am, and I really liked the first episode (the second one is on my DVR right now, waiting for me).

I think this season will either go really really right or really really wrong, and quickly.

Yes, and so far I'm enjoying it more than the first two seasons. I think it's going to be fantastic. *crosses fingers*

I'm not sure about this show yet... I like the concept, but American Horror Story shows never really sat right with me. Maybe when I get a few days off in a row I'll sit down and give it a shot. :) Until then... I'll just ghost-read the reviews...

Which seasons have you watched before? For what it's worth, all of them are very different from each other. They have some problems and I wasn't a fan of S1 but I liked S2 a lot, for example. I can see how it's not for everyone though.

I started watching the first season on Netflix after seeing a preview for the current season on TV. I don't have cable either so I have to wait for the second season to come out on Netflix. I am a little weirded out by the fact that I got hooked on this show in the first place. It's so awful but I can't stop watching it!

I'm enjoying it. My only complaint is that I wish they would have stuck to pure fiction. Trying to mix in actual historical figures just mucks things up.

I watched a few episodes that were probably from at least a year or two back about some kid with an abusive parent living in a cabin or something? The whole thing just seemed really disjointed to me. I wonder if that made any kind of sense to you, but hopefully it's a different setup now. :)

From what I understand of the series, each season is it's own separate story, but involves much of the same characters. So I was told I could watch AHS: Coven without having watched the previous seasons, because technically they all don't have the same story line? Or at least so I was told.

Each season is a completely different story line, with different settings and characters.  So you can jump into "Coven" without ever seeing "Murder House" or "Asylum."

Several actors have been in 1 or more seasons, but playing different roles.  So far, Jessica Lange has been the eccentric neighbor lady, a nun running an insane asylum, and the "supreme" of witches.  One part of what makes the show fun is seeing the same person take on completely different personalities.  My favorite performances were probably those from Sarah Paulson and Zachary Quinto as lead characters in "Asylum" (who both played minor characters the previous season) but I'm also really liking Jessica Lange (who's been consistently excellent) and Angela Basset this season.
