Formal concecration to Macha
« on: February 07, 2014, 03:05:17 pm »
Hey folks,

It's Phouka again, between classes and babysitting and dog walking.

I'm going to be concecrated to Macha on March 22, 2014. I'm currently writing the rite and also co-writing the Ostara ritual with my friend Bob. It's a fully public ritual and rite at the SC Pagan Community Center.

The ritual will fulfill one of the requirements of my 2nd degree in Celtic Wicca. The rite on the other hand is personal to me and a requirement from Macha. It's like a priest being concecrated to the Christian god in his/her particular version. The only things my vows do not ask of me are celibacy and poverty. The main vow is to be totally honest in declaring my religion. So, when I got on the Our Time dating site, I put it in my intro. In fact I went on 3 sites (not counting the pagan one) and used the same intro.
I also am becoming a teacher whether I like it or not. I am beginning to like it actually. I have 2 students both dedicated to the Morrigan in total (9 aspects) and also to a specific aspect (one is Anu the other Macha)

My family of choice are all going to be there to witness the rite plus a large portion of the pagan community in the Greenville, SC area. If any of y'all are in this area let me know because I would love to have a representative of the Cauldron there to witness it. Y'all are like family of choice for me.

Unfortunately my sister is in AZ and can't make it.

Anyway, I just wanted to tell y'all because it's been a long time coming.

I want you to know that you guys have been a great help in my own path and have helped me deal with the woo-woo aspects.

Phouka

I would be delighted to go, but I work weekends. Consider this a Spiritual acceptance to your invitation.

Awesome! I hope someone in the area can make it. :)

Cool. I didn't know that there was a pagan center in greenville. That is where my parrents live. Though I am currently at school which takes up most of my time. But I had no idea that there was a center.

Congratulations btw. :)
