I had a dream

I need to ask you kind folks about a dream I had. I am trying to think of what it could mean besides the obvious, but I really can't think. So, without further ado, let me describe it.
I kind of appeared on a sort of island, floating in nothing. All that was around me was whiteness, and light. In front of me, on a round escalated woman on a platform. She was mounted on a horse, and was holding a spear. She was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen, in a conscious state or my dream. She was also wearing gleaming armour, similar to that of a viking.
I turned around, and there was an old man in front of me. He was dressed in white linen rags, loose around his body. He had a black beard, maybe 6-8 inches from his chin. I asked him this woman was; he replied, "She is one of the Valkyr," or something along those lines. She remained still and silent throughout the dream. When I asked him why she was here, he told me she was here for me. I was going to ask him why, but the dream had ended. This was a few months ago; I have been religiously confused for a few months, and had just established myself an atheist. I will continue the post.

 Sorry about that. Anyway, I was in a time of great religious confusion. I did some research on the topic, to find that the Valkyries, which I had never heard of before my dream, were of Norse lore. I also learned that the Norse goddess Freya was the god of these mysterious entities. Whilst doing some research on said goddess, I stumbled upon multiple things saying that the constellation Orion was called Freya's gown by the Norse. I found this strange, as my middle name is Orion. All of these things led me to wondering; what could all of this mean? Is Freya trying to contact me? Why?

That's kind of a discovery only you can really make... If you're really that interested, it would be worthwhile to try and reconnect to find out. Read up on Freya's lore, in particular the Valkyr, and see where it takes you.

Unfortunately, that's something only you can really determine. Dreams are very personal in their symbols which makes it hard for others do interpret them well.

Is Freya trying to contact me? Why?

It's possible, but if so it doesn't sound like she is trying very hard.

The best thing to do with a dream like this is to calmly look at it and see what if anything you think it is telling you. If you have to stretch hard to get some meaning, chances are that it may be "just a dream" and not a "message dream".

You're right. It would probably be best just to keep calm and analyze it with a steadier head. I suppose that in a time of such unsteadiness I just looked for anything. Thanks guys!
