OK, this I understand.  One is afraid of losing the connection through exploration of other things.

So, my next question is: if the connection is valuable, can't steps be taken to ensure it isn't lost?  Neb.y pushed me toward FlameKeeping, but as an addition rather than a subtraction and I still honor Him.

I guess I don't think one necessarily leads to the other...but that could be my own mental roadblock.

I think, for some people, it can be hard to maintain two connections, or to find time and motivation to honor more than one god, hell I know people who can't even maintain a connection with one god, let alone two/more. I think that sometimes fear can keep one from jumping off the cliff, or diving into something new, as it were.

I've noticed that I go through phases where I'm more devoted to one god, and then I'll become more devoted to a different god. Ebbs and flows as my life goes through it's seasons and cycles. I think it's normal, really.

Totally.

I wouldn't say that I was "forgetting" or anything.. I know that Aphrodite is there, but my own innate laziness at the moment is barring me from remembering to do my daily or even weekly offerings and such for her.  I keep saying "Oh yeah, I know I need to do that, but I will totally do it later"  and then "later" never actually comes.

I know part of my problem with the laziness would be the period of depression that I went through, and then when I am manic I simply forget to do it entirely.  I'm really at a loss as to the best way to remember/have motivation to do what I know I need to do.
