Communication with dead pets

Hey everyone,

I hope I have put this in the right forum. If not, feel free to put it in the correct one. So I was wondering if anyone ever hears from their pets after they die. I still hear from my dog Trini. We had to put her to sleep after she had a seizure in November of 2017. She was sick a lot and was an angel. Every once in a while though I hear from her. I have a boy dog now that will wake me up to put him in my parent's bed. Once in a while I will hear a bark and think it is him and go to my parent's bedroom and find he is on the bed. I realize it is her. So have you all ever had experiences with dead pets?

Trini looks like a little cutie (and I'm sure your boy is too).

We lost a beloved pet cat earlier this year, and there have been a few times when I've thought her spirit has come visit us, since then.  I talk to her and if I can discern where I think she is at I even make a fuss of her.

My husband tells me I'm going mad, but he has also said he believes our other departed puss cat (who we lost previously) has visited us.

I hope both my cats know they can come visit me whenever they'd like, though I've only clearly 'sensed' our girl who we lost most recently (or then again it could very easily be wishful thinking on my part).

Do you take comfort from when you experience Trini's presence, too?

Yes. I do. When I hear from her I am glad to know that she still comes to see me. I have only had one other dog who came to me and that was my second dog Shadow. She showed up the day after Trini died. She just mentally flashed across in my mind and I knew that Trini was okay. It's hard to go on without them, but it's nice to know that when you hear from them that they are thinking of you too. I believe that one day I will see all my fur babies again.

So have you all ever had experiences with dead pets?

In my witchcraft tradition, spending time with our beloved dead is part of our Samhain ritual, and that definitely includes pets. I know more than one person who's honoured a much-loved pet in ritual (usually we talk about 2-3 people/beloved dead each) and had the strong sense of that pet showing up for them, curling up in their lap, a cold nose, a paw in just that place they used to put it.

I also have friends who are convinced their much loved senior cat of the household nudged their much adored orange ridiculous no-longer kitten to them after his death (they found the kitten in the tree outside their house) with a "Go there, kid, those people are great, they'll be wonderful."
