Weird Question
« on: June 25, 2013, 10:36:28 pm »
This is kind of a strange question, but I was wondering if there is anything to this. Is it possible that the desires I focus on for myself can direct to other people unintentionally, instead? I find that friends of mine will, out of the blue, start dating the kind of person I wanted for myself, or will end up at the grad school I wanted to go to, even though it wasn't originally even one of their top choices. One friend decided to go to a different university abroad that happened to have the same name as the one I wanted, which was an odd coincidence.

Maybe I'm just paranoid and superstitious, but it seems to be a pattern that comes up over and over again that I will mentally decide on the things I want in life and not get them, but the people around me seem to achieve the goals I had for myself in oddly specific ways they previously had no inclination towards. Then again, maybe God just has a sadistic sense of humour.

Does anyone have any knowledge or experience with situations like this?

Perhaps the solution is that YOU never wanted those things at all.

In the "'psychic" community, if you will, there's a thing called an empath, which is a person who can feel what others feel. Maybe you never wanted those things, you just picked up on the wanting of the people around you and mistaked the feeling as your own.
