If you get an "Unable to verify referring url. Moving to the more secure "https" means it is more picky about such things.

I was, am, and probably always will be known as Aisling.  My life as a Cauldronite began in 2007 and I'm currently the Archeology Newsposter, a Forum Guide, and the organizer of the Paranormal Social Group.

Religiously, I started life in a non-practicing Protestant household, but Christianity never held much appeal.  I began exploring different religions in my teens and took an eclectic approach to spiritual matters in college.  Twenty years later, I am still forging my own eclectic practice which has an emphasis on threshold work and witchcraft.  I'm a follower of Isis, by her bidding and with willing compliance.

When I'm not online, I can usually be found working on some kind of creative endeavor, exploring the beautiful outdoors of Southern Appalachia, or playing with my three feline furchildren.

I am mlr52, and my name is Michael, I was raised Baptist, came to understand that I did not believe some of the required beliefs to be a Christian.

I went unchurched 30 years(only went to when I could not get out off going ).  Found Unitarian Universalism (UU) 8 years ago.  The UU Church I attend has a Gaia Spirit Circle Group (GSC), currently I am the chairperson of.

I felt compelled to create a Labyrinth (did it on canvas,) in addition May Day, and Halloween have long been personal holidays for me.

As for indoor Pagans I am a city kid.  Give me some concrete and brick buildings I am fine.  Out in the woods at night is not a comforting thought for me.  (City parks are not safe) The beach is good. Cold and snow are no, no's.  A warm rain is great.

I was Finn2 or something when I first started on Beehive at least five years ago, then Finn_again on the SMF board, where I was known as Finn, and here I'm (finally) just plain Finn. :) I began as a lurker, but now I'm a co-SIG Leader of both the TC Brigidine Flamekeeping Cill and the Hazel and Oak SIG. These days I mostly hang out with a bunch of other chatters in the MUX.

I was raised in a Presbytarian and then Evangelical Free Christian home, but a strange combination of books, dreams, and depression led me on a long search for spirit and soul that eventually brought me to Brighid, and a path rooted in a Celtic worldview and spirit. I'm devoted to Brighid; I have no other deity relationships at this time, though I have asked several other Celts for blessings and offered them my thanks from time to time.

I call my path An Seanchas Fior, which is rough Irish for "True Stories." Besides being based in a particularly Irish and Welsh Celtic cosmology/worldview, my path is also rooted in a philosophy based around stories as an underlying metaphor of the universe and my place in it. Basically, I feel called to explore stories, story-telling, and story-making and what power stories provide to the universe.

I'm in my mid-twenties, currently jobhunting for full-time work in Seattle, WA while using my powers for good part-time as a grants assistant for a non-profit organization in San Antonio, TX. I have a BFA in Film and Digital Video, and an unofficial Ph.D. in Geekery and Books.

When I'm not wondering the grey mists here in TC, I'm watching tons of movies, reading, crocheting, hiking, drinking tea, baking, or plotting to take over the world.
Fight evil: read books.

Hi! I was Jenett on the old board, I am Jenett here.

I am a librarian, priestess, harper, reader, writer, musician, and general geek. I'm in my mid-30s, and live with a cat (Athene), a harp (Tale), and a bunch of books, fiber, and other interesting objects.

I grew up in the Boston area, and have lived in Minnesota since August 1999. In August 2011, I will be moving to central Maine, for an awesome new job, and I'm looking forward to returning to New England and being in a smaller town.

In my religious life, I am a priestess and 3rd degree initiate in a small religious witchcraft tradition that has been active in the Twin Cities area since the mid-1990s. I hived from the originating group in the tradition in early 2009, but group work has been on hiatus through a long time of health issues (now much better) and job hunt (also now much better.)

My current plan is to take some time (at least six months, and more likely a year) to settle into New England (and a new job) while exploring the local Pagan community (for 3-4 hour drive radius values of 'local'.) and then I hope to begin opening up for teaching and coven work again.

I was originally raised Episcopalian, but my parents returned to the Catholic Church (and I converted via the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) when I was in my early teens. I was a very active Catholic through college, and still see a lot of good done by individuals in the Church but determined it wasn't for me in mid-1999.

I've been active on the Twin Cities Pagan Pride board since late 2006, including founding our new conference event, Paganicon, and I've done various other smaller things in the Twin Cities community. I've written a few articles for the Llewellyn almanac "The Witches Companion", and I write extensively on my own websites (my general blog is at http://gleewood.org/threshold and my material for seekers and those new to Paganism is at http://gleewood.org/seeking)

I've got a particular interest in music and its interaction with magic and ritual, group dynamics, better teaching practices, better research and evaluation skills in magical and religious work, and what I call 'sustainable priestessing' - making the most of our time/energy/resources without burning out.

It is possible for me to write short posts (I swear!) but I do tend to run long, and like including examples and alternatives. Part of the reason for working on the Seeking site was so I could wave at those when they're relevant, and thus shorten up responses a bit.

Hi all, Thorn here - Thorn on SMF - Thorn pretty much everywhere on the internet that the name's not already taken.

I joined TC while it was still on Beehive (probably a year or so before the move to SMF, but I couldn't say exactly.)  I go through cycles of activity, though - sometimes disappearing for months at a time.  Lately, I've been reading a lot more than I've been posting - at least on the more serious topics.

Religious stuff:  I think of my upbringing was "vaguely protestant."  Mom has a good relationship with her god, but no use for churches or "church people." I can't remember my father ever talking about anything remotely religious (unless one counts profanity.)  I attended a Pentacostal church with my grandmother for a few years as a young teen and later a Salvation Army church.  It didn't take.  I still remember some of those "church people" very fondly - in retrospect, I don't think I really had much of a problem with their god.  I probably would have felt right at home if it weren't for that little thing called the Bible.  Didn't believe a word of it.

Fast forward:  today I am an ecclectic pagan who worships the Greek pantheon and is particularly devoted to Dionysos.  I am interested in recon, but am still learning what that might entail and how/if it would suit me - since I am also very drawn to mysticism.

Non religious stuff:  I'm a painter, an herbalist, and historical costume fanatic.  I was diagnosed with clinical depression at 16 and was on antidepressants for most of my adult life, until about 2 years ago.  I can occassionally get very obsessive and fangirly on certain subjects but I've finally learned to embrace my shallowness - we all need a pressure release valve.  (I do try not to annoy others with it, though.)

So there you have it.  That's me.  Sorta.

Hi All. I am Monica Mc here and I may or may not have had the Mc part on the old board, I'm currently having a mantal block.

I have been a TC member for about two years which is really long time if you consider in that time I have had 3 jobs (soon to be 4) lived in 3 towns and will soon have lived in 5 houses. I still mostly lurk but will occasionally feel chatty and make 3 or 4 posts.:)

I grew up Lutheran was fluffy bunny type wiccan between 15 and 20 and have been vaguly pagan of some undetermined sort ever since.

I currently live in central Australia with my 5 year old foster son, will soon be working in childcare again and am currently studying psychology.

Hiyo, Erinnightwalker here. Used to be erinnightwalker, but I hit the capslock at the right time this go-round. The SMF board was my first brush with TC and I've been here ever since. Gone from a fluffy pagan to a decently combed one. I worship a handful of deities and may start courting yet another. Religion is listed as Potato Salad (not related to Flying Spaghetti Monster, I swear), mostly cause I have big chunks of ideas balanced by some creamy dressing practice, spiced up with random bacon bits.

I am a potter, a maker, and hopefully a carver soon. I blog as a hedgehog and sometimes say odd things. Early twenties on the West Coast, but I geek much more than I party.

I make ceramic art and am currently taking commissions. Have dream altar ware you\'ve always wanted, or a statue for a deity or spirit that you could never find? PM or email me and I\'ll see what I can do ;)

Cheers Randall-you know how much I hate doing these!

Hi, I'm Dark Midnight. This was my name on the old board (I was midnightsharonb originally). I am 36 years old, happily married with a 9 year old daughter called Elizabeth. I retired from work last year, so I have lots of time to spend with family and friends. I am a Crystal Witch, a Flamekeeper and a follower of Hades.

I have a 5 year old cat, a 8 week old kitten, a bearded dragon and a pond full of fish, which I think is just about enough!

I live in the North West of the UK, between Manchester and Sheffield, so I am right on the edge of the Peak District, which means that there is lots of countryside all around, but it also means that it rains. A lot! ;)

Well, let's see. I joined The Cauldron (SMF version) in April of '07, so I was never on Beehive. My original name on the forum (for many years) was Rin, which was the short version of a nickname given to me several years back. Earlier this year I finally made the switch to Nyktipolos, which I had been going by religiously for quite a while, which is a modern epithet given to Dionysos and it means "the night wanderer/prowler".

I am 21 years old, and I grew up (and still live) in Winnipeg, Manitoba. I was raised in a Christian household, although we rarely went to church except for special occasions. My mother is Christian, although she's never really belonged to any particular branch. My father is a Catholic, although he lapsed after leaving his mother's household (she's /very/ Catholic). So I was never really pushed to be Christian, although it was expected of me to believe in God, etc.

I actually spent three years in a private Catholic school, and the ringette camp I attended was also on the grounds of a Bible camp (so, we had a nightly get together to sing songs about God and what have you), however it never really sank in that this was the religion I was supposed to follow. Instead, it felt like one more thing to study about. It was in the small school's library that I began taking out every mythology and folklore book that I could, my first small steps into realizing there could be something other than what I was observing around me from school, family, etc. It was also the same place where I began researching paganism after hearing from a friend (who was Catholic herself) that Adam had a first wife, Lilith. Researching her led me erroneously to information on vampires and Vampire the Masquerade. :D But after doing some more research, I was led to Wicca.

It's been a weird, long, and twisted road since then. I've tried fitting into one particular religious tradition, but it's never stayed that way for long. Truthfully, I can't explain why. If I got all "woo" about it, I guess it would be because I needed to learn things from different paths, and be able to pull certain bits into one, coherent path just for me. No god has claimed me (er, as far as I know) but I do give worship to a couple: Dionysos, Brighid*, Aphrodite, Cailleach, Anubis, Bast, and Hestia, to name a few. If one wishes to learn more, they can check out my blog (link located in my signature).

Other religious miscellanea: I'm a member of the Cauldron Cill going on two months now. :) I'm also in the midst of work through some Feri stuff, although it's solitary and I doubt I'll find a Feri teacher this far north for years. :D

Right now I live at home with my parents and younger brother, as well as my cat. I work for my dad at the moment, in the family business. In the fall I am going to college to become a library technician. I am an avid gamer geek as well as book nerd, and I spend many, many hours online. :D

* Although Brighid has poked at me. A lot. :D

LOL!

I'm DragonDaughter, and was the same on the SMF board. I joined sometime in '08, and had just reached 1000 posts right before the move. Tells you how much I actually post, mainly I just read (most of the time while NOT drinking or eating) in the forum.

Let's see... I'm fourty-something, single (working on changing this ;) ) with two beautiful daughters (23 & 22), and live smack dab in the middle of the Willamette Valley in Oregon. I'm a geek, was part of the third place ROV team in an international competition in June, play D&D off and on, read SF when I have time. I've built houses, racecars, and robots over the years.

I was raised in a non-church going Christian family, and probably went to every church in town with friends during HS before deciding it wasn't for me around 20 years ago. I've been agnostic and quite a few versions that fall under pagan during that time, but I'm slowly sliding into Heathenism once again.

I returned to school two years ago, and graduated in June with my Associate of Arts, and will start at a four year uni in September going after a BS in Earth Sciences, and then off to a Master's in some related field.

I'm sarcastic and snarky, but usually try and behave myself most of the time. Aaaaaand, that's about it. :D

Hey there. I'm Morag, both here and the old board. I've been on TC since 2007 and being on the board has helped me grow by leaps and bounds, religiously speaking.

I was raised Atheist/Buddhist; in my teens I found Wicca. I am now a non-Wiccan witch who worships Celtic deities and is studying Druidry. It was very difficult to fit all that on the Census, let me tell you.

I live on Snuneymuxw territory on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, and I thank the Snuneymuxw people for allowing me to do so. I attend Vancouver Island University, where I major in First Nations Studies.

I am a writer, crafter, publisher, actor, and burlesque dancer. I'm other things too, but a short intro was specified. ;)
