* "Unable to verify referring url. Please go back and try again" Problem Logging In?

If you get an "Unable to verify referring url. Please go back and try again" error when you try to log in, you need to be sure you are accessing the board with a url that starts with "https://ecauldron.com".  If it starts with https://www.ecauldron.com" (or "http://www.ecauldron.com") you will get this error because "www.ecauldron.com" is not technically the same website as "ecauldron.com". Moving to the more secure "https" means it is more picky about such things.

Merry Meet from Connecticut
« on: August 10, 2011, 07:47:03 am »
Hi Witches! I'm Ayla from Connecticut. I got interested in the Craft years ago but was frightened off and stayed away for several years. But recent events have led me to return and do some studying. I'm loving every word I read, and yesterday the God of the Sky poured his Love all over me in a beautiful and cleansing thunderstorm! I have never experienced a rainstorm like I did last night! I'm starting to see nature with new eyes and smell it with a new nose, and all the rest of the senses have been reborn as well! This planet is so beautiful, and it breaks my heart that we are ruining it. I'm going to do what I can to help it, and want to spend the rest of my life serving the Lord and Lady and keeping Mother Earth beautiful!

I don't really know anything about flamekeeping, but generally Kemeticism is a somewhat modern version of Ancient Egyptian religion.  Some are members of the Kemetic Orthodox, and others practice independently (like me).  I'm pretty new to it myself and still have a lot to learn, so I can't really give you much more information than that.  You can always check out the Reformed Kemeticism SIG if you want more info.  :3

Yep- KittyVel explained it pretty well. It varies on how close to ancient practice people  try to get, but we don't use the term "Egyptian" for it because that would refer to the modern country. We tend to use the old names for the Gods, so we'll say "Djehuty" instead of "Thoth", and "Aset" instead of "Isis"

Flamekeeping is a spiritual path developed by someone right here on the cauldron. I call it "open source spirituality". Here's a link to the core essays. It's something that seems to mix well with other paths, so some people use it as a foundation to build other things on top of.
