Let's talk shop
« on: May 28, 2019, 08:24:54 pm »
Three years ago, I broke from my Christian education and journeyed around America, learning from teachers of different faiths. My chosen path, a new religion called the Church of X, synthesizes elements of Buddhism, Existentialism, and Goddess religions. I am especially interested in the Goddess Asherah, the former wife of Yahweh, whose name was (almost) erased from the Bible. Read more about my journey in Gods of the Flesh: A Skeptic's Journey Through Sex, Politics and Religion.

Some topics I enjoy are sacred sexuality, gender equality, environmentalism, Nordic mythologies, and world folklore. Bonus points if you know Thai folklore--I recently studied in Thailand.

Looking forward to good conversations!

Hi, Failivrin, welcome to TC!

Putting on my staff hat to address the bit I quoted - you can't. But staff can, and have done so with your duplicate - should it come up again, use the 'report to moderator' function (located at the bottom right of a post) to report the one you want deleted.

Two things I want to mention here. One is that, aside from unintentional duplicates - and of course spam - it's extremely rare for us to delete posts, so it's best to make sure you don't post anything you don't want posted!  The second is that many forums use the term 'double-posting' to refer to any instance of two or more posts in a row, and frown on the practice - except for duplicate/identical posts, we don't, and in fact encourage it in many circumstances, for example, when you're responding to more than one post in a thread, we prefer that you reply to each post separately.
