Um, Hi :-)

So I am a newbie.

I have come out an extremely fundamentalist christian patriachal movement, where girls were expected to stay at home until they married a guy that daddy picked.

Yeah, that didn't happen.

I'm a student of the humanities, majoring in english (creative) and minoring in classical studies. I live with my partner (who has been something akin to pagan for many years) and my pot-plants. I have read about witchcraft, the occult and paganism in general for a few years now, both from an anthropological/historical light and out of personal interest.

Just recently I have decided to take the plunge and actually start practicing what I have read.

Because of my background, I at the moment believe in  no deity, although I am open to it. I used to have a very rigid way of seeing the world, and now everything blurs into everything else, but I'm learning to live with the confusion. Basically, I'm an agnostic who has leanings towards witchcraft.

I'm here to learn, interact and ask lots of questions.

Welcome to TC! Are you more interested in witchcraft as magic or witchcraft as religion?
