Hi everyone,
I've been a member for a bit and thought I would finally introduce myself.
I am a stay-at-home mom. We also homeschool. I enjoy gardening, drawing, painting, knitting, crochet, and have recently started leatherwork. If it's art/craft, then I will try it eventually.
I have always been interested in witchcraft in general, but I just never really took the leap until fairly recently. I honestly always felt sorry for the ones killed in the Salem witch trials. I think that's where my interest got started. I would sit in the school library and read any kind of book I could find on the trials and/or witches.
So, fast forward many years and now I am trying to read everything I can again.
I have read through the posts here and hope I can contribute some good info myself one day.
I purchased tarot and lenormand cards a year or so ago and have been using them often.
I am also adding many new herbs to our garden this year. I'd love to have a moon garden one day.
I'm not sure what all I should say here, so I thought I would share a things that I have experienced over the years that has helped to lead me to my current path of learning and exploration.... I hope to find out how/why some of the things happened/for explanations, for ways to open myself up so that other kinds of experiences can happen..
I warn you, this will probably be long, all over the place, and I will ramble..lol
Once in a blue moon, I dream of things that end up happening. A couple examples (of many):
The first dream happened around age 12. I had a dream that a man killed two people with an axe. A few days later there was a newscast that said a guy killed his parents...with an axe, in my state. This scared me to death, and I didn't know what to do. I only told a couple of girls that were my best friends.
(All of the rest of the horrible, gruesome ones that I've had were of people I actually know. Once I finally realized which dreams could possibly happen, I have tried to somehow gently warn the person to be careful for a week or so. I never just come out and tell them what I saw. I once suggested not to use any kind of saw to a friend of my husband once. It ends up the he was supposed to check the chainsaws on the fire truck that week, but had someone else do it.)
Another time was when I dreamed that I was called into the office at work. My boss gave me a $2 raise. The next day at work, I was indeed called into the office for a $2 raise. This dream has been the ONLY positive dream like this that I've had that has came true.
I often wonder if there is a way to embrace this and be open to more dreams, if it means I can possibly help someone...even though it's never easy when the dreams happen and I wake up with my heart racing.
Anyway, last year, I was awake in bed watching tv, and a sound came from my left. It wasnt in the room, but felt like it was coming from the middle of the house, at about ceiling height. It sounded like a loud but low moan/growl. For some reason I wasn't afraid. I was thinking that it wasn't the neighbor revving his truck engine, and it wasn't the dogs growling. I remember thinking "oh well, whatever" and then decided to try to go to sleep. It was also within a day or two that Bellatrix Aurora passed away. She was a senior cat we rescued from the shelter only 2 week prior. Her eyes made me get her...one of them had an iridescence to its green color. It shimmered. I believe she just didn't want to die in the shelter.
Since I was a child, I often felt as if someone has walked into the room, but no one is there. The only way I can describe it would be to say I feel energy...? I've never felt scared and usually I just say "hi" and go about my business. I don't think I've ever seen anything when I've felt the energy. Though the cats have ran out of the room or stared at the general area before.
I'm also sensitive to large power lines and transformers. The humming drives me absolutely crazy and it almost hurts. I've had to unplug electronics because they were humming to loud.
I can hear dog whistles and those things that emit a sound frequency when a dog barks (that are supposed to make them stop barking).
Speaking of animals, I think our house attracts every stray animal that wanders near us. There is currently a sweet, fluffy male cat sleeping on our front porch. He is very friendly, but we already have 5 cats inside (plus 2 dogs).
Ok, I have rambled enough, but that's just a tiny snippet of what I've had happen and other random stuff.
Hope to chat with you all soon.
