Author Topic: Hello form Massachusetts (Read 1698 times)

I always never know what to say on these introductions without rambling on about useless information! LOL! I guess I'll stick with the basics:

I'm a 30-somthing Pagan, started studying and practicing Wicca when I was a teenager.. but over the years my specific beliefs are not quite the same as Wicca and I don't know if there is another path that holds my specific beliefs or if I'm just destined to be unique and solitary! --which I'm fine with! But, after the birth of my first son and a husband that isn't very supportive, I slowly lessened and lessened my practicing until all my spiritual stuff ended up in a few boxes in the attic or sold at a yard sale.

This was about 10 years ago.

After having my second son almost 3 years ago and getting laid off, I fell into a depression. I often thought about how my happiest times is when I was actively acknowledging my spiritually with daily devotionals, meditations, and energy directing work. (I'm not into big rituals or long spells.. I prefer to carry stones or crystals in my pocket and put intentions into a box and send it out into the universe) and do meditation and grounding. I'm also a level 3 Reiki Practitioner but other than using it on myself, I've also fallen away from that.

So, when I realized I was depressed and was determined to get my life back in order, I also decided it's time I get back in touch with my spirituality. I'm not ready for local events - which there don't seem to be many of anymore, anyway, so I'm looking for a good online community to help me get back into the swing of things.

I've started setting up my little alter in my living room.. but it doesn't have much on it yet! Tomorrow I'll be taking a trip into my attic to try and find all my other stuff. And today I grabbed a fallen tree branch from the HUGE tree in front of my house. A branch that fell due to hurricane Irene, that I'll be turning into a wand of sorts.

I'm ready to jump back in and I actually have to focus because I keep getting side tracked and not doing my work because I want to read about Pagan stuff and look at stuff, and find and set up my alter! (I'm a freelance writer, and I work from home)

Okay! See... I told you I can ramble! LOL!
