Hello, all!
« on: January 25, 2021, 05:02:24 pm »
Hello! I'm a chronic forum lurker all over the internet, but I should at least introduce myself. :)

I consider myself a Quaker Pagan; that is, I base my practice around Quaker ways, including belief in the Light Within (the spark of the divine within each human being); the Quaker testimonies of simplicity, peace, integrity, community, equality, and stewardship; and a focus on the Quaker tradition that no day is more holy than another.  I still celebrate holidays, but I definitely don't view them the same way my Wiccan wife does, for example.

The pagan part is my belief that many deities exist. I have always felt a deep connection to my ancestors, and they are a fringe part of my pantheon. I worked with Thor for a while, but we parted ways amicably. Thereafter, I've had dreams with both Ogma and Brigid, and those are my two current personal deities. My UPG with both of them is strong, and pretty much the only basis of my practice. I'm not very traditional at all, and they are enjoying it, it seems.

I love reading how other people interact with spirituality in all its forms, and I look forward to poking around these boards for years to come.
