Im Jaime, hello,
I took my initiation July 1st.. Doing my 1 year and 1 day... Looking for like minded souls.
Im having a hard time quieting my mind for meditation.
There is no one near me that i can ask questions and get informative answers to questions i have.
And now that im on the spot, cant think of too many questions. Once i start studying my books i got from the library, questions pop up.
Looking for friends.

Im Jaime, hello,
Im having a hard time quieting my mind for meditation.

Greetings Jamie. It sounds like you just need to try a few techniques. Everyone has trouble with this at the start, as our minds never cease being active. Crowley can be a bit much for a lot of people, but for a source that you can view online, I'd recommend his Book 4, http://hermetic.com/crowley/book-4/aba1.html
Scrolling down to chapter 1 begins part 1, which covers meditation. Mantras, Asana, Pranayama, e.t.c are practices within yoga for stilling the mind, becoming comfortable, controlling breathe, and all of the things you need to persevere through what for some can be a difficult process. It takes practice, so maybe begin with doing it a half hour a day, and if desired, record your results so that you can track your progress.

Possibly even checking out a few yoga classes could be beneficial if you benefit from the more 'hands on' approach.

Good luck.

Thank you, i have read that he had information that would help, but no reference point.
I tried yoga once, and injured myself, its been years, maybe i should put my fear away, take your advise and try again.

Sometimes it just takes a bit of experimenting as well, as there are numerous methods, but you'll get there ;)

Welcome to the Cauldron!

As far as meditation, the ONLY luck I've ever had with that was while knitting.

I have tried to do things that just come automatic, but i either fall asleep or think to myself " am i doing this right?" and that just throws it all out of whack.
Leave it up to me to overthink clearing my mind.
