James Mooney, seriously? Mooney is a kook with absolutely NO CREDIBILITY.

I've never heard of this fellow and a (very simple) Google search didn't tell me much - though a white anthropologist at the end of the 19th/beginning of the 20th century doing ethnographic work on native cultures doesn't seem to bode well for anything.
Maker, though the darkness comes upon me,
I shall embrace the light. I shall weather the storm.
I shall endure.
What you have created, no one can tear asunder.

Tzalagi has a contextual Thunder Deity. Primarily, in the James Mooney, "Cherokee Myths & Religion", the Thunder Deity & his 2 sons contextually is described, with the appended reference context the other thunder deities whom cause mischief. It was actually apology context the fundament character of the Thunder Deities. Really, in the tribal context, the Thunder Deity is as typical as the Serpent Deity. Where the "Uktena" in Tzalagi is as valid a reference which proves context "Quetzalcoatl", the Thunder Deity is as valid a reference which proves context the Mayan "Ah Peku". Regardless the precarious circumstances which shroud the "James Mooney" literary source, still it's valid Tzalagi culture to suggest a Thunder Deity.
:)

... Except that Tzalagi is not the name of a thunder spirit, which is what you were asked to source. It's the name of a language.

Thunder beings are actually pretty common in a lot of different Native cultures, but really that can be said of ALL people on earth. They were viewed differently and fulfilled different roles in very complex, variable spiritual systems in North America (and South America). It doesn't necessarily mean "these two groups of people worshipped the same spirit", it means "these two groups of people interpreted their spirits and this natural phenomenon in similar but different ways, with different names for a reason".

And a being associated with thunder is not necessarily a deity.

Er, though I'm not Native American of any variety and therefore don't have as much experience as I'd need to to call total bs, I'd like to see a source about this. It makes no sense, and I also trust stephy and Viv. This doesn't look legitimate.

And if it's not, then you just stuck yourself in deep brown applesauce.

:D haha!! That maybe the context, though I like to give people the chance to reply appertaining how they "feel" with reference notions introduced, especially within a cultural context that so many things are suggested with reference "faith" & religion of slight of historical result with especial reference context "Zeus" himself.
:)
Really, the "Thunder Deity" phenomena is most appropriately associated with the 'Planet', or the "Sphere of Zeus".
What do you think, Greek Pagan forum?
:P

What? I'm sorry. That made no sense at all.
KARMA: You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

I'm sorry, but are you writing to us through some sort of translation program? Your grammar is very confusing.
