* "Unable to verify referring url. Please go back and try again" Problem Logging In?

If you get an "Unable to verify referring url. Please go back and try again" error when you try to log in, you need to be sure you are accessing the board with a url that starts with "https://ecauldron.com".  If it starts with https://www.ecauldron.com" (or "http://www.ecauldron.com") you will get this error because "www.ecauldron.com" is not technically the same website as "ecauldron.com". Moving to the more secure "https" means it is more picky about such things.

If this isn't a revisionist history then I don't know what is. .

It's entirely possible, going by your posts, that you don't know what historical revisionism is.

It's not only a legitimate, but an entirely necessary process when it comes to history.  It's a way of critically examining and reexamining history, rather then just assuming that what was once the orthodoxy always stays that way.

What you're talking about is illegitimate revisionism/pseudohistory, which really is a statistically insignificant amount of the work being done with revisionist methods.

It's just that the former is a lot more attractive to the media, who are always interested in a bit of controversy.  So you get the stories about Solomon and David being black, while the body of serious academic revisionist work that looks at the ways that black people have been marginalised in historical research is ignored.

Without revisionism, we'd still be reliant on the Dunning School for our understanding of the Reconstruction Era.  This would be bad, considering that the Dunning School was really, really, racist.
