Because my life doesn't have enough shit in it I've decided to cook my way through "A Mediterranean Feast: The Story of the Birth of the Celebrated Cuisines of the Mediterranean from the Merchants of Venice to the Barbary Corsairs, with More than 500 Recipes" To add Shenanigans to my Shenanigans (as is dictated by The Holy Writ of Clusterfuck) I'll be blogging the experience because my coworkers are sadists and demand I do so.

A full chapter of recipes is devoted to sausage making and while I've got some bomb sausage eating skills (heh. :ange:) I've never had to grind my own meat before (okay seriously this is just getting way too easy) so I'm hoping someone here can give me a recommedation for a good meat grinder with sausage sutffing attachments. I'd prefer manual with no plastic parts if I can help it.

I don't make it myself, but Alton Brown is my go-to guy for other foods:

as alton brown said, version 1.0 is still the current model. You can probably go to walmart or farm and fleet and get a tin plated manual meat grinder. I use mine mainly for corned beef hash.
