Sorry, Unmutual--I should have given you a nod for U.K. reporting as well! Happy solstice back at ya (in exactly 1 hour...)
The first song sets the wheel in motion / The second is a song of love / The third song tells of Her devotion / The fourth cries joy from the sky above
The fifth song binds our fate to silence / and bids us live each moment well / The sixth unleashes rage and violence / The seventh song has truth to tell
The last song echoes through the ages / to ask its question all night long / And close the circle on these pages / These, the metamythos songs

Thank you, Rocquelaire and Tana! So Scotland and Germany have officially fallen to darkness. I imagine we'll have a big unreported stretch as the dark marches across the Atlantic (unless folks from Ir[c]eland chime in), and then it will be our turn in the East of North America next...I better start my ritual prep...

It's dark down here in England now, too. I've done my candle-lighting ritual. Let the struggle to stay awake begin!

I won't be staying up all night - with a new baby about I need to sleep when I can lol - but I'll be popping in and out when I can.

Other than my usual flame tending candle which is currently unscented, the ones I have lit are Christmas spice scented lol. Basically orange, cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger. I like the sound of gingerbread-man-scented!

Altair, I think your excitement woke me up. :p

The sun won't set here in Winnipeg until 4:30 pm, so I've still got roughly four hours to prep. I won't be much here in the evening (going out with friends), but I'll definitely be back for the late parts of the night, as usual. I feel like I would be doing my name a disservice if I didn't at least pop in for a bit. :D:

The sun hasn't set yet and it won't for a while but that doesn't mean I can't make sunny side up eggs for everyone in the family! Also, more music:
It's not really Solstice related but it's fun.

If you have a B&M close by, you can get a set of four bakery-scented ones. But try not to have them all going at once! ;)

I have scented candle going too - one I got from *cough*Tesco*cough*... It was the only one I could afford that looked like it would last all night!

Mine (and all the other scents in the set) are in glass cups and last about 18 hours. I fully expect to keep going for a fair bit of western hemisphere night too!

I was gonna join in after the bonfire I was suppose to go to tonight but it is pouring rain and it had to be cancelled so now I'll be here all night.

I've got about three hours until sunset here! Right now I'm focused on getting the very last of my homework done for the term before the night comes, and then I'll sit down and work out what exactly I plan to get done tonight. I should be in MUX most of the night- though we'll have to keep the duct tape handy, as I have a habit of falling out!
