That choir does know that other religions exist, right?  The sad part is that it would be stuck in my head for the next few days.

Just go back to the one you posted and start clicking on the alsos.  I just had to send one to Jubes because she's having a bad 'Christmas spirit' day.  ('All I Want for Solstice is my Sanity', if you're wondering)

Not just "that choir"; the ACLU. Isn't that priceless?

As for it being stuck in your head, blame it on the pokey rhythm, like a marching anthem for kindergarteners.
The first song sets the wheel in motion / The second is a song of love / The third song tells of Her devotion / The fourth cries joy from the sky above
The fifth song binds our fate to silence / and bids us live each moment well / The sixth unleashes rage and violence / The seventh song has truth to tell
The last song echoes through the ages / to ask its question all night long / And close the circle on these pages / These, the metamythos songs

Oh yes, it's causing my irony meter to explode.  And I'm trying to force "All I Want for Solstice is My Sanity" to become my earworm instead of that...thing....you linked:p

The sun has just set here. I didn't even notice- it's been grey and rainy all day.

Darkness has fallen on Lansing.

Here in Madison, WI as well. Still a teeny bit of light left but not much.

I woke up 15 minutes before sunset, so I can't tell you what the day was like today. :) I'm sure it was very day-like.

Lit the last of my pillar candles for Brighid's/my vigil, and contemplating food options. My mother decided to cook supper tonight (throwing a wrench into my Holy Supper plans), so now that needs to be pushed back, because I am really not going to serve sloppy joes, from a can no less, to my ancestors. :/ Not that my original idea was much better, but at least it's something better (pasta).

I'm watching the Polar Express. The best way to get into (holiday here)spirit is to watch this movies or just listening to the soundtracks.  The thing is beside inspiring people to believe in the 'true' meaning (I can't empathize that enough) of a holiday as well as recapturing the essence of anyone's childhood because children still believe in the magic of the holidays instead of the materialistic ideals of any holiday.

There is one song from this moving that I just love and believe is truly inspiring for any day of the year. Can be inspiring for anyone of any religion.

Got home from work around a half-hour ago.  Rainy here, mild. I'm a bit sad about that, was hoping for some decent snow. I guess it'll have to wait for the weekend.

Mom is doing some last-minute Christmas shopping, and is bringing home Chinese for dinner. Beef curry, wonton soup and a spring roll for me, not sure what she's getting. And I'm still a bit bummed that I won't be able to truly stay up all night with you guys. Well, maybe next year, if I'm not working in the same place.

Off to play some DDO, might check in at the chat room later.
I love a good metallurgical take on the phrase "What the F---?"

It's rainy here as well, dashing my plans for some solstice stargazing. It's probably for the best though, since I have to be at work at 7AM.  *sigh*

I'd hoped for stargazing, too. It was gray all day in Maine, with bonus freezing rain. (I'm very glad I went out for errands at lunch, because the pavement was horrible by the time I left work at 4.)

But I'm home, I have a chicken roasting in the oven, cider mulling in the crockpot. (And I'd be making bread, but I sort of forgot I don't have yeast in the house. So that'll be a later-this-weekend thing)

Must be! The rest of the Midwest has been dark about an hour or so now! Are you in Galena IL?

You could make bannock? It doesn't require yeast.

/recently learned how to make it properly

/has now become a bannock-pusher :ange:
