And the sun rises after the Longest Night here in Winnipeg. Time to celebrate by passing out! Woo! :D

I'll admit I passed out for a few hours -- only slept four hours during the day yesterday and could barely get through an episode of Who after my massive Holy Supper. (Blog post forthcoming.)

I've been up for a few hours now, watching more Who and knitting a sock. 1 1/2 hours till sunrise!

Thanks are due to Randall and Lyric for letting us do this every year, and hats off to Juni once more, who thought up this year's non-theme; I've still got a slew of links in this thread to work my way through. But most of all, thanks to everyone who participated, whether they stayed up all night or not. Our annual solstice celebration is when I feel the connection of our cybercommunity the most. And a finer cybercommunity of technopagans I've never known.
The first song sets the wheel in motion / The second is a song of love / The third song tells of Her devotion / The fourth cries joy from the sky above
The fifth song binds our fate to silence / and bids us live each moment well / The sixth unleashes rage and violence / The seventh song has truth to tell
The last song echoes through the ages / to ask its question all night long / And close the circle on these pages / These, the metamythos songs

Congrats to yous who made it all night! I gave in at about 4am, I was bored and didn't know what to do with myself. And I didn't have the mental capacity to read or write or craft. Slept till 11am and now I'm up thinking I should blog.

I second those congratulations! I gave in at 2:30; I made the mistake of moving from my computer desk to my bed to console my confused cats (they're very used to their schedule) and that was the end. I made it longer than I'd expected, though!

Happy Solstice, everyone!

no thanks, I don't drink, lol. I loved listening to the different musics you guys shared and sharing some of my favorites too.  I really wish I could have stayed up all night if I didn't had to work. Oh well, maybe next year would be different.

This morning I woke up half an hour before work. I felt pretty refreshed. I slept so soundly I didn't even heard my mom get up and go to work. I didn't even felt like I stayed up all night either or very late.

It was very fun.

This!

I made it to 4am, crashed, got up long enough to be up through sunrise, and went back to bed. But yay, for Solstice!

(Also, I not only finished my Yuletide story, but the friend who betaed it for me had awesome comments that make it even better. Yay.)

A lovely photo, Brina; the silhouetted branches make wonderful patterns.

That's a wonderful pic, Brina.  I love the soft transition of lavender to blue.
