Moving to the more secure "https" means it is more picky about such things.

My goodness, that's a lot of hopes and anxieties!

It's a troubled time in this country.

(And to be clear, I didn't go back to the RMA, which isn't open at this hour anyway; I'm just now posting pics I snapped when I was there shooting the video.)

Anyway, MADE IT! The easiest UAN for me yet, no doubt because I got in that hour nap right before sunset. May all the rest of you still in the midst of your night have success. I'm hauling off to bed for a bit, and will see how folks did later on.
The first song sets the wheel in motion / The second is a song of love / The third song tells of Her devotion / The fourth cries joy from the sky above
The fifth song binds our fate to silence / and bids us live each moment well / The sixth unleashes rage and violence / The seventh song has truth to tell
The last song echoes through the ages / to ask its question all night long / And close the circle on these pages / These, the metamythos songs

Beautiful!!  Thank you so very much for sharing those, and the video from earlier!

And I'm with Pickle, that is a HUGE amount of Hopes and Anxieties!  But what's awesome is that I see mostly hopes from the closeup you gave us!

YAY!  Congrats!

I still have a wee bit left to go, but the light is coming on into my room!  I've been up since 1:30pm yesterday~  Not quite 24 hours~

The sun rises in Virginia, as promised.

Beautiful, Noctua!!!!

........

At last, the longest night is over! I'm going to drink another cup of coffee - already texted my friend to let her know I will be wired on caffeine and leftover adrenaline. Hopefully it will be enough to keep me awake while Joey gets his shot and then...do something else maybe, before coming home to crash.

ETA: Blessed Yule to all and may the ever-longer days bring hope and strength to you!
I love a good metallurgical take on the phrase "What the F---?"

my livestream from the Rubin Museum was aimed squarely at you (sure, it was for everyone, but I thought esp. the Hindus on the list would get a kick out of it).!

I figured out how to view it; I'm not good with Facebook, but I found it nonetheless. Looks like a very interesting museum!

Endowed with that faith, a votary performs the worship of that particular deity and obtains the fruits thereof, these being granted by Me alone." - Sri Krishna

Good morning everyone! Congratulations to those who made it through the night!

Night's not over here! Another two hours to go in southwestern British Columbia.

I'm still going strong, thanks to sleeping late and 2 pots of coffee. XD

Way to go Morag!

Thanks!

Also my husband keeps playing this video for me and I can't stop laughing. (Don't turn your sound up too loud.)

So that's helping.

So I'm popping in here early, to say that I'll be late ;D. (I haven't gone to sleep yet, so I won't be awake yet at sunset, much less online.)
<snip>
See yous later this evening!

... Or even later than that. But I'm up in time to observe local sunrise, anyway, and to help those last few people through the hast couple hours. And I am very well-rested.

Nice!

I think next year we'll have to encourage more visuals.

But I'm up in time to observe local sunrise, anyway....

Which arrived over half an hour ago, but I was too busy chatting in Discord (and attempting to catch up on this thread) to say so at the time. It's clear here this year, so the sun is painfully bright.
