*It occurs to me that I live somewhat in Celtic time, where the day technically starts the night before... *facepalm*

*laughs* I hear you there.
But I also tend to move stuff around, so that it fits the schedule. Solstice-celebration on the weekend will be a lot more comfortable. ;)

I think so.  At least according to the power(s) that be.  ;)

Yes indeed: from sunset Saturday evening until sunrise Sunday morning. And good grief, it's coming up fast this year!
The first song sets the wheel in motion / The second is a song of love / The third song tells of Her devotion / The fourth cries joy from the sky above
The fifth song binds our fate to silence / and bids us live each moment well / The sixth unleashes rage and violence / The seventh song has truth to tell
The last song echoes through the ages / to ask its question all night long / And close the circle on these pages / These, the metamythos songs

What amazingly warm welcomes I have received so far. I hope to make it to the Solstice. I'll bring Isis :-)

And thank you. She is one of my favorite characters in literature...shame about the berries

Count me in, then, as well.  Sounds like a lot of fun (and an opportunity to be a night owl, no less - something my job usually doesn't allow for)

I did mention that, to placate the sky gods and guarantee the sun's return, we sacrifice a virgin--in cyber terms, a newbie--on the solstice altar, right? No?? I forgot to bring that up? Silly me. ;)

Well, then. Wouldn't want to disappoint the sky gods, now, would we. ;)

Long time reader, but this is my first time SPAMMING. Maybe I wanted to wait until after the sacrifice was chosen, lol. Really though I wanted to share a solstice meditation I tried out this year and felt it has made an impact. I will probably post this again closer to next year, but please let me know if you have heard of it. It got it from THE PLACE I'M SPAMMING FOR.

[Mediation removed for violation of our copyright guidelines: i'm sutre that the place he's spamming for probably gave permission, but the spammer did not so state as our rules require.]
