This year's non-theme (a conversation starter that can be freely ignored) is "hot/cold". Start collecting your thoughts, songs, links, videos, recipes, etc. for sharing, and get ready for "Up All Night"!

I'll be there, and trying to write my last two PBP posts and maybe some others...

I really wanted to participate this year, but I am afraid I can't. My wifi is  out, which blows. Maybe next year!

Yeah, it's looking a little less promising today.  My husband has to take a business trip on Sunday, so I may have to get up early(ish) to take him to the airport.  I'm still throwing my party, too, so I'll need to grab as much sleep as possible between these two.  I'll definitely stop in and say hi, but definitely won't be up all night.

Whatever time we have with you, Brina--and anybody else who can only pop in for a bit--will be a pleasure. "Up All Night" is definitely one of those things where the old adage "the more, the merrier" absolutely applies.
The first song sets the wheel in motion / The second is a song of love / The third song tells of Her devotion / The fourth cries joy from the sky above
The fifth song binds our fate to silence / and bids us live each moment well / The sixth unleashes rage and violence / The seventh song has truth to tell
The last song echoes through the ages / to ask its question all night long / And close the circle on these pages / These, the metamythos songs

I'm going the opposite route, this being a Saturday night for a change. Instead of staying in and writing, I'm going out to a pagan pal's solstice party...and then I just found out about this:

http://makemusicny.org/winter-2013/

I plan to take video of it all while I'm there, or at least snap photos, so I can share them with you guys during the night.

The only drawback is that it's supposed to get insanely mild this weekend here in NYC--great for being out and about, but crappy for sleeping through Sunday. With a predicted high of 67 degrees F, there's no way I'm missing that by staying in bed. I guess I'll catch a few ZZZZs early on Sunday, and then get back outside and enjoy a bit of spring.

I am doing this, most definitely. I won't be up the whole time, guaranteed, but I will try my best!:D:

For me as well. I have to get up early and spend Sunday baking giant piles of pizzelles. I'll be around for a little while, though.

Holy crap--!! This has totally snuck up on me (like the rest of the holiday season). In case it's snuck up on you, I wanted to remind everybody that Up All Night: A Technopagan Winter Solstice, the 2013 edition of what's become The Cauldron's annual solstice celebration, is only about a week away!

As long as I can get a MUX account set up by then, I plan to be there for at least some of the time. It sounds like a lot of fun and would probably be a great chance to get to know some of you better, me being new and all.

I also find it funny how many people are planning to do some form of writing on the solstice. I was planning on doing some myself, so it's odd to see that I'm not the only one who had that idea. Great minds and all that I suppose. :)

The MUX is eminently accesible through the guest-accounts; it's sometimes a bit confusing if there are multiple Guests, but you are more than welcome to hang out even if you don't have an official account set up. :)

You make a very valid point, so I suppose I'll be there irregardless but hopefully with a less confusing name, haha.

While the MUX is usually a very active place during UAN, it's not the only place UAN happens - in fact, Altair himself, who runs UAN, doesn't have a MUX account AFAIK (at any rate, I don't think I've ever seen him in chat). There'll also be - in fact it's already set up, for the 'advance guard' in NZ and Australia - a thread to converse in.
